- The Ministry of Defense says that the Darqad district of Takhar province was cleared from insurgents;
- At least 2 civilians and 3 National Directorate of Security personnel were killed in a suicide bombing a convoy of government forces in Jalalabad city. At least 21 people, including 15 civilians, were wounded;
- At least 20 governemnt troops were killed and 5 others were wounded in clashes with the Taliban in the Charkh district, Logar province, the Taliban says;
- The Taliban ambushed a convoy moving between the districts of Bakwa and Gulistan, Farah province. The group claims that over 20 government troops were killed or wounded.
