A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- The Kabul government is planning to release around 900 Taliban prisoners on May 26;
- According to reports, the Taliban carried out several raids against ISIS cells in the province of Balkh. The results of the reported raids remain unclear;
- Both Kabul forces and the Taliban have recently decreased the number of operations against each other.
