A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- Government forces captured the Sherzad district of Nangarhar province from the Taliban, pro-government sources claimed;
- At least 6 civilians were killed by a US-led coalition strike on Nawo Joye Dara-e-Afghania village in the Najrab district of Kapisa province;
- At least 10 soldiers were killed in a Taliban attack on the Bangala base in the Balkh district of Balkh province.
