Forces of the Turkish-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) captured a Mi-8 helicopter of the Libyan National Army (LNA). The helicopter crash landed near the village of Abugrein, in the western countryside of Sirte, and then was abandoned by LNA service members.

This Mi-8 became the second LNA helicopter that was captured by the GNA due to a technical malfunction. The previous one, a Mi-17, crash landed and was abandoned by LNA forces west of Sirte in August.

It doesn’t look like a helicopter that flew recently, it looks more like a helicopter scrapped for spare parts that was left somewhere.
The door and both the slide windows has been removed and i can’t see how that could be caused by the landing.
My guess is that they collect and sell scrap.
Look at the cockpit area. You’ve got detached cables and missing components. Here’s what an operational MI-17 cockpit looks like:

I have read an article about this. It says that the helicopter got hard landing and was abandoned by its crew. Probably they ripped off some cables and smashed some glass to make it dysfunctional.
Did they capture? It crashlanded by malfunction. But nice to have one less in the sky.
Anyway: According to my knowledge helicopters are important in those areas. Our semilars can be armed with machineguns, missiles and has flairs. And thats it.
Thats a very expensive crashlanding.

Greek pilots were voted as the best in the world at the NATO Tactical Leadership Programme meeting (TLP 2019-1).
They were recognised for their interceptions, long-range bombardment and strikes against war ships under extreme weather conditions.
Pilot Vassilis Kontopoulos was voted as the operator that all pilots would want to have next to them in battle.
The TLP is an organisation formed under a Memorandum of Understanding. It is not part of the NATO structure, but linked to NATO via a Letter of Agreement. The mission of the programme is to increase the effectiveness of the Allied Air Forces through the development of leadership skills, mission planning, briefing, tactical air operations and debriefing skills and conceptual and doctrinal initiatives.
Despite the strict measures taken to conduct flight exercises in secrecy, video footage emerged from the exercises showing the spectacular skill of the pilots.
