A brief overview of the recent developments in Libya:
- The GNA Navy commander revealed that his forces had captured a ship that arrived from the UAE and had fueled LNA aircrafts during the LNA attack on Tripoli on March 22;
- Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and Chief of General Staff Gen. Yasar Guler visited Tripoli;
- The MIM-23 Hawk system with radar was installed at al-Watiya air base by Turkish-backed GNA forces;
- President of the Libyan House of Representatives Aguila Saleh held talks with Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
Egyptian Lt. Gen. Samir Ragheb has said that Turkey is not backing down on the city of Sirte and that the “mother of all battles” against Ankara is approaching Libya.
Egypt has said that if Sirte is attacked by the Turko-Libyans, it will intervene militarily in Libya to support the House of Representatives and the Libyan National Army (LNA).
The flights of Turkish C-130 transport planes to the airports controlled by the Tripoli regime shows that thousands of mercenaries are now being transported to Libya, in addition to the thousands who are already in the country.
In addition, Egyptian and Russian media revealed that Cairo had asked Moscow to speed up the delivery of coastal defense systems “Bastion” to the LNA.
The same sources report that the anti-ship missiles will lock a large naval area with a length of more than 600 km, sinking the Turkish fleet.
