Zelensky continues sacrificing Donbass in an attempt to save control of at least some Russian areas. The Kursk region is inflamed by heavy battles, in which Russian forces are steadily destroying Ukrainian strategic reserves, pressing the Ukrainian grouping from all directions.

On February 17th, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the full control of the village of Sverdlikovo. The first field reports about Russian victory in the village came a couple of days ago. Russian forces completed the mop up operations on the southern outskirts of the village and around it, having repelled several Ukrainian counterattacks.

Sverdlikovo is located near the Ukrainian border northwest of Sudzha. Located on the road, it was supposed to become an important Ukrainian stronghold for the further offensive on Korenevo, but the Ukrainian troops were stopped. Sverdlikovo was turned into one of the key logistics hubs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region. It played an important role in securing the Ukrainian garrison operating in Sudzha and around it.

Russian control of Sverdlikovo limits the maneuverability of the Ukrainian grouping in the entire Kusrk region, complicates military supplies from the Ukrainian Sumy region and reduces the pace of Ukrainian counterattacks. Victory in Sverdlikovo paves the way for further Russian offensive towards the main Ukrainian stronghold in Sudzha from the north, threatening the entire Ukrainian grouping in the Kursk region with encirclement.

Strikes on Russian column:

Together with their victory on the northern flank, Russian forces are developing offensive from the southern direction. Battles are already ongoing near Guevo, where the Ukrainian military is resisting on the dominant heights that offer control of the roads near Sudzha. Russian victory will complicate Ukrainian military supplies to Sudzha and their other positions in the Kursk region even more.

The military command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is throwing additional reserves to the region to repel Russian attacks deeper in the region and stop Russian advance north and south along the border. In their turn, Russian forces are not in a hurry, grinding down Ukrainian reserves around Sudzha, they do not put their large reserve groupings into battles, welcoming the Ukrainian army in a trap.

Russian strikes:

According to the official report by the Russian Ministry of Defense, over the past day, the Ukrainian army lost:

  • more than 300 soldiers,
  • four tanks were destroyed, including one US-made Abrams tank,
  • three infantry fighting vehicles, including two US-made Bradleys,
  • three armored personnel carriers,
  • 15 armored combat vehicles,
  • 23 vehicles,
  • three self-propelled artillery installations and an artillery system,
  • a launcher and the radar station of the NASAMS missile system made in Norway,
  • the UAV control center.

During the day, four soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered.

Ukrainian losses:

In total, the Ukrainian military lost 61310 in battles in the Russian Kursk region. This is the high price that the Kiev regime is paying for its hopes to exchange the small part of the captured Russian soil to some lost areas in the Donbass. However, Zelensky’s wet dreams are unlikely to come true. Moscow made it clear that the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region will be destroyed. On February 17th, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who came to Riyadh for the upcoming negotiations with the US delegation, highlighted that there will be no territorial concessions to Ukraine:

Do you want these Nazi tactics – and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are even worse than the Hitlerite killers, look at the atrocities they commit – do you want even some kind of thought to be present at the negotiations regarding the need to cede some territories? How can we give them – with Russian people or without people, with only rare earth metals?

Still, it is better, if we are talking about serious diplomacy, to first understand the history of the issue, to see why the Russian language is banned in Ukraine in all spheres of life, why the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church is banned there, and this is a gross violation of numerous conventions and Article 1 of the UN Charter, and to understand why тo one remembers the numerous initiatives that have been voiced so far, but they only say that territorial concessions are needed, probably. For what? So that Russians can be exterminated there in the same way as they are now in the Kursk region?

those ukrainians are literally going back in pieces. last exchange of corpses was something like 40 russians for 800 ukrainia corpses. at that pace russian forces will soon overtake the rhodesian light infantry kill ratio.

the latest from the london banking establishment that placed a bet 25 years ago with it’s physical au – “uk’s starmer: i’m ready to put british troops in ukraine”… sends this cocksucker to kursk with a rifle a water canteen and first aid kit. he certainly has a death wish before the markets become the biggest mushroom cloud in money and banking history.

well conan as i type this post several chinook helecopters are flying over my shire in scotland one has a truck and the other a field gun and other cargo towards an ex raf aerodrome as part of massive training operation including 3 other areas so you are right a stupid wee country training for war with russia -72,000 active soldiers it only takes two sarmat nukes to destroy the uk.

Cavery

same here east coast alba chinooks and typhoons daily. 2 uk brigades would be destroyed in one month ukraine tops. we have no 18 to 25s capable of fighting.

Joseph Day

britts, lol. we saw how good they where against the germans. how quickly they fled back accross the channel, tails between the legs

Cavery

it was a strategic withdrawal. we returned 4 years later once it was safe to do so, (cause the russians had killed most of the bad guys) and liberated the rich parts of europe with americans covering our butt.

man, you must be old if you returned to france in 1944. the british army could barely keep units in the field in nw europe in 1944. by then it was an adjunct to the us imperialist host which had 61 infantry, armoured and airborne divisions. the british had a total of 14. the french had eleven and the canadians five.

my burger generals designed kursk as a plot to steal more ukie schlyha

until they are shot down vanya btw -the usa uses multishot guns themselves and belgium and france have tried out using shotguns to shoot drones down that’s the only way you will stop russian fibre optic drones.

Cavery

the russians and ukrainians do the same its only very partially successful. the drones still rule but as ever so does the artillery. the russian artillery since its conception by a scotsman has always been the most successful russian military arm. even the wehrmacht feared the russian artillery from day one.

unluca

good tactic, well executed operation, now it’s quite clear, it hasn’t always been. ukros are losing their best troops and this is an important preliminary to negotiations. the best peace you can negotiate is one with a country that has no army left but a few hundreds of thousands of conscripts with 2 weeks training and no combat xp

after sverdlikovo and lebedevka, russians should move south and seize basivka and maybe even yunakivka thus cut off the retreat path for the nazis in sudža!
