The Houthis (Ansar Allah) ambushed a unit of Saudi-backed forces in the al-Nar mountain area in the Yemeni province of Hajjah, according to a video released by the Houthis’ media wing. According to the released video, Houthi fighters captured some weapons and destroyed an Oshkosh M-ATV vehicle belonging to Saudi-backed forces.
Since the start of the Yemeni conflict, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have supplied their proxies with multiple IMVs and MRAPs of different variations, from UAE-produced Panthera T-6F, Nimr JAIS 4×4 and NIMR AJBAN Long Range Special Operations Vehicles to the already mentioned Oshkosh M-ATV, International MaxxPro and BAE Caiman. The Ansar Allah movement, more widely known in the mainstream media as the Houthis, destroyed this equipment in large quantities. Suffering from a lack of heavy military equipment and artillery, Saudi and UAE proxies attempted to use IMVs and MRAPs as the main solution for offensive military actions. This approach, in combination with poorly performing infantry and rough terrain, predetermined the fate of the supplied equipment.
i would hve taken the radios and optics
Houthi’s usually take ammo and weapons.
No time for the other stuff, if they dwell in an area to long they might get hit by air, etc.
I wish the term Yemenis were used more often. These guys are Yemenis. Their religious preferences are secondary. They would be doing exactly the same if they were Wahabis.
Houthi is not a religious preference. Houthi is not a sect of Islam.
The KSA war against Yemen was never winnable and with UAE leaving the ‘coalition’ it is game over. But do the exceptionable vassals count their losses and leave? No, hegemon is the name and doubling down is the game. Karma will be a bitch.

Running out of Sudanese al Qaeda Janjaweed, I guess. Saudis – who knows? They’re eye was always on the far eastern edge of Yemen – next to the border with Oman. That’s where they’re building a pipeline to get around the Persian Gulf ‘problem’. Stupid Saudis think that they can actually operate the pipeline and/or port without being slaughtered by the Houthis. Oh well…
Seems Arabia is not the only Empty Quarter. Saud princes also have Empty Quarters in their skulls too.
Oh well ,American arms merchants need to make money too and every dead Wahhabi counts…
Hahahaha, nice few word in the top right (NE).
KSA’s crown pretender, Mohammed Bin-Salman Jr, strategically and politically owns this war, but this roaring narcissist is not going to concede its failure gracefully – it will go on indefinitely until Bin-Salman Jr can find some underling to carry the can for the failed project and resulting stalemate.
Mohammed Bin-Salman Jr, KSA’s crown pretender, both strategically and politically owns the war, but such a roaring narcissist cannot accept a very public failure on such a grand scale – it will go on indefinitely until Bin-Salman Jr can find some underling to carry the can for his failed project and resulting strategic stalemate.
He also totally wasted 450 milliin dollars murican on a crap fake painting worth at most 15 million. That is how strategic he was and how much he listens to advice.
It was always odd that the crown pretender from a country that bans Christianity and all its symbols, went and paid 450 million for a portrait of Jesus Christ. But it all makes more sense when grasp was bought out of spite – point of exercise was to massively outbid KSA’s regional rivals Qatar and stop them from acquiring it. That it has now all gone south is pure karma.

Can someone with tech knowledge tell me if burning a vehicle like that has really put it out of action? So Arabs come back and tow it home and fit new tyres and drive off again ,right?
