On the night of January 29th, Russia and Ukraine again exchanged strikes in each other’s rear region. After a short pause of several days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine resumed massive attacks and inflicted heavy damage to Russian civilian infrastructure. In their turn, Russian drones and missiles continue daily precision strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure throughout the country.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that in total 104 Ukrainian UAVs were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems during the night, including:
- 47 over the territory of the Kursk region,
- 27 over the territory of the Bryansk region,
- 11 over the territory of the Smolensk region,
- 7 over the territory of the Tver region,
- 4 over the territory of the Belgorod region,
- 3 over the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region,
- 3 over the territory of the Kaluga Region,
- 1 over the territory of the Rostov region,
- 1 over the territory of the Leningrad Region.
As a result of the drone strikes, a large fire broke out at one of the Russian largest primary oil refineries, the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez, located in Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The governor of the Smolensk region reported that Ukrainian drones targeted several civilian facilities, including the local NPP. All UAVs were intercepted and destroyed by Russian air defense. The wreckage fell in the area of the nuclear station causing no damage. Another nuclear terrorist attack of the Kyiv regime was thwarted. Several days ago, the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service warned that Kyiv was preparing a nuclear provocation and the Smolensk NPP supposed to become one of the possible targets.
Together with strikes of aircraft-type UAVs deeper in the rear areas, the Ukrainian military also attacked Russian civilians near the border. Ukrainian small FPV and larger combat drones pounded the Belgorod region. In the Grayvoron district, a civilian man was wounded, several apartment buildings and vehicles were damaged by precision strikes. One of the drones exploded near the administrative building in the center of the town of Grayvoron. More damage to civilian infrastructure was caused in different villages.
As a result of a precision strike of Ukrainian UAV on an apartment building in Razumnoe, a two-year-old child and his mother were killed.

In their turn, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue precision strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure throughout the country. Drones trikes were recorded in the industrial zone in Krivy Rih, in the logistics hub of Pavlograd in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Some energy facilities were reportedly struck in the Kirovograd region. Explosions thundered in the capital Kyiv.
Russian Iskander-M missile destroyed the AB InBev Efes Ukraine brewery, located on the Yantarnaya Street. At least two people were reportedly killed. The brewery was one of the largest enterprises in the region and the Ukrainian military could use its facilities.
Russian drones struck the territory of an old military airfield in Borzna in the Chernihiv region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine used its facilities to launch drone strikes on the Russian territory. UJ-22 Airborne and launch systems were deployed there.
The southern Odessa region came under another wave of strikes for the second night in a row. LINK At least eight kamikaze drones struck the Kilia Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant, which was used for the repair and maintenance of naval guard boats and unmanned boats of the Ukrainian Navy. More Russian strikes were reported at the local Shkolny airfield used by the Ukrainian military to launch strikes on Russian territrory.
