UN-brokered talks on a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Yemen ended after an agreement between the Houthis and the General People’s Congress (GPC) party of the country’s ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh had been signed, the Yemeni government said.

“The negotiations have completely ended,” the Business Standard information website quoted the words of the deputy director of the Yemeni president’s office, Abdullah al-Olaimi, on July 29.

On July 28, the Houthis announced that they were forming a supreme political council together with the GPC.

The new body has a number of declared goals, including resistance to the Saudi-led coalition.

A military conflict between the government headed by Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and the Ansar Allah movement, also known as the Houthis, has engulfed Yemen since 2014. Army units loyal to former Yemeni President Saleh support the Houthis.

Since March 2015, a Saudi-led coalition has been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthis at Hadi’s request despite a ceasefire agreed in April.

On April 21, UN-brokered talks on a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Yemen started in Kuwait. On July 20, the Kuwaiti government gave the warring sides 15 days to settle the crisis before it would stop hosting the talks.

So, our assumption about the futility and impossibility of negotiations proved correct. The conflict has already made the first step from the sluggish phase to a situation of open war, as evidenced by the fact that one of the official goals of the supreme political council, formed by the Houthis and GPC, is opposition to the Saudi-led coalition.

Does anyone know the history of SAS operations in Yemen?
Even in the 70’s and 80’s SAS were massacring civilians and slaughtering the tribes that God placed there. The SAS have been behind several wars in Yemen, and they got off scot free.
However we Americans are waking up quickly, and we have had enough.
Starting with electing Trump, then breaking away from NATO, then lifting sanctions from Russia and placing them instead on the UK-Empire and Norway, we will be turning things around
It is already written, and now the world watches as it all unfolds.
