Starting from November 10th, the Russian Armed Forces began a peacekeeping deployment to Nagorno-Karabakh in order to ensure that the peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan is preserved.
According to information provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense, 1960 Russian peacekeepers will be stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh and their main tasks include:
- Collecting information on ceasefire violations and communicating this information to the command of the peacekeepers
- Maintaining the safety of free transit and transport
- Suppression of illegal actions against the civilian population
It seems that Ruptly believes that Russian BTR-82A personnel carriers are somehow ‘battle tanks’:
There will also be 16 observation posts in the Nagorno-Karabakh region to monitor the implementation of the Karabakh peace agreement. The map below shows the location of these 16 observation posts in the Karabakh area.
According to maps published by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian zones of responsibility are divided into northern and southern parts, and the map below shows Russia’s operational area and observation posts in the southern part.
As of November 13, 10 observation posts have already been established in the southern zone of responsibility. Some of these are likely temporary, but it will all become clearer in the following days.
All of the peacekeepers haven’t been deployed to Nagorno-Karabakh yet, as of information from November 11th, more than 400 servicemen arrived in Armenia, senior General Staff official Sergei Rudskoy said, adding that the peacekeepers were now in control of the Lachin corridor.
Over November 12th and 13th, alone, Il-76 aircraft made 20 flights via which 372 servicemen, 53 units of automobile and special equipment were transported.
In addition to the 1,960 servicemen, approximately 90 armored personnel carriers, and 380 vehicles and other hardware were deployed.
These were delivered through An-124 Ruslan large, strategic airlift, four-engined aircraft and Ilyushin Il-76 multi-purpose four-engine turbofan strategic airlifters.
In addition, the Russian peacekeepers utilize Mi-8 and Mi-24 combat helicopters.
An-124 “Ruslan” military transport aircraft delivered eight Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces army aviation to the airfield in Yerevan.
In terms of ground forces, there appear to be battle tanks, but they exact number is unknown. The peacekeeping contingent is equipped with modern weapons, military and special equipment, including armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, armored vehicles “Tiger” (Tigr) and “Typhoon”.
On November 12th and 13th, a column of units of the 15th separate peacekeeping brigade, who arrived to participate in the peacekeeping mission in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, made a march about 100 km long. from the area of concentration in the city of Goris to the city of Stepanakert.
The convoy included armored personnel carriers, motor vehicles, and means of logistical support previously delivered from the Russian Federation by Il-76 military transport aircraft to the Erebuni airfield.
As of November 13th, 10 observation posts have been deployed along the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin corridor, there is no updated map as of yet.
In total, as of mid-day on November 13th, since the beginning of the peacekeeping mission, 56 air flights have been carried out, 817 servicemen and 119 units of weapons and military equipment, 8 Mi-8 and Mi-24 army aviation helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces have been transported.
So far, the peace is holding for a second full day, and it appears there are also no issues on November 13th, whether the situation will continue in this manner is questionable, but with the chaos inside Armenia, it is unlikely that any offense would be carried out.
The vacating of various positions on November 15th is incoming, and as such it is yet to be seen if everything will go through without issue.

“It seems that Ruptly believes that Russian BTR-82A personnel carriers are somehow ‘battle tanks’”
If there is a thing that brings the most shame upon you, as a Russian, is not knowing everything about Mother Country mighty weapons.
there are Russian T-72 tanks deployed along Lachin corridor….
I feel a bit of sorry for this young guys enduring the incomming winter.
Winter in Moscow is much colder than winter in Armenia.
Yes but Moscow is a city with a population way bigger than Armenia, you can find a hooker faster than in Armenian mountains.
Maybe not under lockdown. ;)
And alcohol should me much cheaper than in burgeois moscow under lockdown too.
;)
And much better than being threatend by headchoppers and IEDs in Idlib to uphold a failed deal with erdogan..
I heard Russian soldiers gave up common patrols after the IED. So N-K is safer and for sure alcohol is cheaper than in Moscow – more expensive pubs than New York.
Exactly what I’m always saying about your SCUM race! I bet in ur anglo-saxon pervert mind by “hooker” u ment a child u Genocidal paedo MORON!

Ruptly is right. I was force to stop playing Metal Gear Solid 5 because I couldn’t destroy those fucking BTR-82A that kept killing me.
BTR-82A aren’t battle tanks by russian standards. On another note, they even think that special forces like the ones deployed to NK are just peacekeepers and border guards.
The point is that a russian border guards knows CQC, while an american one only knows how to eat cream donuts.
And that’s why Russians cry foul about NATO expansion, they just hate the American donuts. But they will get used to them eventually :)
Probably not. That train left the station a while ago and I am surprized you did not know Bacon. This is especially after what Lavrov and Putin had to say about those type of things, merely a couple of weeks ago. Get it up to speed Bacon, you are usually better than this. :)
Mmm, I don’t think we are on the same page. It was a joke btw.
Ah, I didn´t get it. My bad, my appology.
No worries my man.
You will see that SOON ur anglo-saxon SCUM race will be EXTERMINATED! AMEN!
