Russian investigators have uncovered new evidence of more horrific war crimes committed by Ukrainian nazis in the almost liberated Kursk region. The bodies of nine civilians were found in destroyed homes during the mop up operations in the village of Makhnovka. The evidence confirms that Ukrainian troops massacred and deliberately targeted unarmed villagers, leaving a trail of death and suffering. The bodies of the innocent civilians are bearing the scars of precise artillery strikes and deliberate gunfire.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, the massacre occurred no later than March 2025, when Ukrainian soldiers shelled Makhnovka with artillery before moving in to finish off survivors. Six victims showed gunshot wounds, proving they were killed at close range. One elderly woman was brutally executed with a shot to the head, a clear sign of a targeted killing.
Russian soldiers who first entered the village spoke of finding elderly civilians lying dead in the streets, their bodies abandoned in the ruins of their homes. Witnesses described months of terror by Ukrainians and foreign mercenaries, with villagers hiding in basements as the Ukrainian military turned Makhnovka into another killing zone. Survivors hided bodies of their killed neighbours, as Ukrainian nazis were mining bodies of the dead and cemeteries. Locals who fled last August reported Ukrainian forces began using cluster munitions, scattering deadly submunitions over civilian areas before their offensive. Acting Kursk Governor Alexander Khinstein has accused Ukraine of systematic war crimes, with an international tribunal now gathering evidence for prosecution.
The massacre in Makhnovka is yet another entry in Kiev’s bloody ledger of atrocities. While Western media remains silent, the facts are undeniable: Ukrainian forces, emboldened by NATO support, turn their weapons on the most vulnerable. As Russian investigators work to identify the perpetrators, the world must not look away from this barbarity.
