On January 20, pro-government forces, led by the Tiger Forces and supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, liberated the strategic Abu al-Duhur airbase from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra). All area east of the swamp is liberated. What now remains is liberating the railtrack to Aleppo and the remaining ISIS pocket. The next step is still unclear, they might start an offensive toward Fua and Kefraya already but it’s a 35km way with a lot of unprotected flanks.

Only MiG-23 and MiG-27 have that huge ‘tail fin’ and Syria operates MiG-23’s.
That’s a MiG-23 hands down.
But it’s so small. How come it took them that long?
