Washington is preparing new sanctions against Syria.

In the near future, the US will announce additional sanctions against Syria, a number of media reported, citing US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
“The United States is preparing economic sanctions against Syria,” Mnuchin said.
Meanwhile, the Hill newspaper reported that leader of the Republican majority in the US Senate, Mitch McConnell is ready to support introduction of new sanctions against Russia.
“If [the administration] feel they need additional sanctions, or we can come up with something that seems to enjoy bipartisan support, I’d be open to it,” McConnell said, when he was asked if he would support additional sanctions on Russia.
The senator added that he intends to discuss the issue with chairman of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Bob Corker.
“I think it’s certainly good that the administration’s not lifted any of the existing sanctions,” McConnell said. “The Russians are not our friends. I think they’ve demonstrated that over and over and over again.”
As it was reported, on Friday night, the US fired the Tomahawk missiles on an air base, located in the Syrian province of Homs in the western part of the Arab country. This was the first direct attack of the US against positions of the Syrian government and the most radical military decision of US President Donald Trump since his inauguration.
Due to the incident, Russia refused to comply with the Memorandum of Understanding, which regulates work of Russian and US aircraft in the sky over Syria.
It is high time Russia stopped cooperating with the U.S.A.
However, the Russians are stupid, they always hope for the best, but then only get the worst.
And this is the result of their cooperation with their “friends”—being nice and making concessions all the times finds one inevitably cornered over time.
They ought to have turned up the heat in Yemen.
Russia’s response to provocations and threats has been patient, principled and – when necessary – strong but measured. They are confronting an increasingly desperate Empire that has vastly more resources and manpower and has shown itself committed to defeating and dismembering their country. In the face of this they have been positioning themselves as the world’s leading peacemaker and most trusted mediator.
If the Empire of the Dollar Bill were stable, Russia’s position would be hopeless, but it’s melting away beneath our feet as we speak, and our overlords well know it. Russia is holding the lines it need to hold and laying the groundwork for the birth of a post-dollar “multi-polar world”, while playing for time very effectively.
I don’t know how this will end – I doubt anyone can – but I’m certainly not about to urge Russia to escalate. Every month, every day that goes by without a war with the United States is a victory, for them and for us, the common people of America and the world.
Fucking America. Syria Is in full war , people are dying. And fucking America wants to put sanctions again. How fucking idiots they can be? Instead to unite whit Russia to exterminate extremists Islam, tey fucking help jihadists, is unreal , and Turkish president is like Hitler.

Sanctions are meaningless. US companies bypass those by setting up a shell company in another country that does regular business with Syria. Libya kept buying US equipment for their oil and gas fields by ordering it from shell operations that were set up in Italy.
