A US Navy guided missile destroyer, USS Masion, was targeted on October 9 by a missile attack from territory in Yemen controlled by the Houthi alliance, a US military spokesman has said.
“USS Mason detected two inbound missiles over a 60-minute period while in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen. Both missiles impacted the water before reaching the ship,” Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis said.
Davis added that there were “no injuries to our sailors and no damage to the ship.”
The missile attack on the US guided missile destroyer came a day after the US-backed Saudi coaltion’s air strikes killed and injured over 600 people in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a. The Saui-led coalition’s air power delivered at least 7 air strikes on a crowded funeral in the city. Saudi Arabia and its coalition allies have been massively bombing civilian objects in the Houthi-controlled territories of Yemen amid a lack of significan success in military operations on the ground.
On October 1, a missile attack by the Houthi-Saleh alliance hit the US HSV-2 Swift hybrid catamaran, operated by the UAE Navy, in the Red Sea. The vessel was almost complitely destroyed.
damn… those impacted the water… so the US anti missile system is working. shit…..
anyway i will leave a good docu to better understand yemen but also saudi.

Its not US anti missile system that has done the job.simply missiles either were very short range or poorly manufactured.
How do you know? Not defending the US but they do have anti missile defences.
Mechanical missile defense but no electronic warfare systems thaat I know of. Ie they can only shoot down missiles not damage them via electronic means as far as I know. Arleigh burke class defense systems are also the type on the uss donald duck aka d cook that Russia shut down in the black sea.
The somewhat vague report that has appeared on USNI is that the ship fired 1 Evolved Sea Sparrow and 2 SM-2s, one of which may or may not have hit an incoming missile, and also deployed a decoy, which may or may not have caused either missile to impact the water short of their target. I would hazard the guess that the missile decoy worked on at least one of the missiles. They detected them far out, and had plenty of time to react. Mason wasn’t alone, but was sailing with USS Ponce, enhancing the radar coverage.
Americans sticking their nose in where its not wanted.
So the us is more actively participating in saudi war crimes besides enabling them or was this ship just doing “freedom of navigation” near there?
I believe that here is a US carrier in the area.
This comes after Kerry advocates for Saudi defense of borders who are the aggressors along with the support of US coalition under the pretense of an Arab coalition. False flag for a heightened US involvement in Yemen no doubt. We will see this play out very soon as Saudi are getting their arsses handed to them from the the Houthis.
Warning shots.. Was not a barrage.
Yemeni army has apparently rejected this report:

ok they are “actng” to protecting saudi’s mass murder event
Another false flag or outright lie so that the US can directly intervene on the side of the Saudis – to protect international trade routes? Or are the Yemenies poor shots and just wasteing ammo?
Aegis fail?
Reminds me of the Falklands war… Argentina blew up one or more British ships with French exocete missiles…. the story was, Thatcher, in a fit of rage, got on the phone and demanded France give up the codes that disabled the missiles… France was read the riot act – they complied, reluctantly since this was going to be a catastrophe for their arms sales business. True story? Not really sure.
