In the period between October 5 and October 9, US-led coalition forces conducted 176 strikes on ISIS terrorists in Syria and Iraq, according to strike reports released by Operation Inherent Resolve website. 136 strikes were conducted in Syria, while 40 strikes were conducted in Iraq.

In Syria, Combined Joined Strike Force engaged ISIS near  Al Shadaddi, Raqqah,  Abu Kamal, Al Hawl, and Dayr Az Zawr. The Coalition has destroyed a number of vehicles, ISIS staging areas, IEDs, logistic nodes, command and control networks,  communications infrastructures,  VBIEDs, and ISIS tactical units.

In Iraq, the Coalition forces have engaged ISIS forces near Al Bashir, Al Asad, Al Qaim, Hit, Tuz, Sultan Abdallah, Huwijah, Taji and Rawah. A number of ISIS headquarters, weapon caches, VBIEDs, bunkers, ISIS tactical units and ISIS-held buildings were destroyed.

The main bulk of the engagements took place in Syria, with only 40 out 176 strikes conducted in Iraq. This corresponds with Russian Defense Ministry statement issued October 10, stating that the US-led forces conducted less and less strikes on Iraq. Major General Igor Konashenkov, Russia’s Ministry of Defense spokesperson, claimed that this let ISIS forces easily move to Syria, thus hindering the liberation of Deir ez-Zor province.

Their forte seems to be taking good pictures. How many sorties did Russia make again?

Jesus

Between October 5-9 there were 176 air strikes, that is approx. 35 air strikes a day, with doubtful results and without any video proof of the effectiveness of such strikes. Air strikes do not necessarily mean sorties, one aircraft sortie can deliver serveral airstrikes.

On the other hand, Russian air wing flies typically over 100 sorties a day with video proof of their effectiveness in destroying ISIS targets.

Robert Duran

my point exactly

Cyriak Papasissis

Simulations of air strikes mostly , US pilots drop bombs on sand dunes.

Jesus

Or they do not drop any bombs.

Manfred Pleyer

Lies, Lies and Lies, they don`t drop any bombs on Terrorist.
They drop bombs on Hezbollahs and syrian forces.

dutchnational

The decrease of US strikes on IS in Iraq is not so much a sign of less attention to Iraq as a sigh there is less to bomb.

As all pockets are cleared except for the one in the almost empty desert of Anbar and with a lack of Iraqi operations there, bombing there has no point. Senseless bombing is futile.

Jesus

Right, when ISIS oil convoys were streaking across the desert, US Air Force did not “notice” such obvious targets. When Iraqi ISIS elements counterattacked in Homs, obviously US missed such targets. The Russian high command is claiming that ISIS forces are withdrawing from Iraq to reinforce the war effort in Syria, is happening under the auspices of US airforce umbrella.

That’s because Israel and the US were buying the Oil and Gas , the US is just bombing mocked up vehicles, they used to use Mock Armies as far back as the Three Kingdoms as long as you don’t look close they pass.

ur an israeliNational but not dutchnational

“Senseless bombing is futile”..Really?

Isnt that the same group of people that were firing missiles at one terrorist on roof top in Mosul? An mind you a roof top of a house full of civilians inside…Do some reading

Bombing where you do not have “boots”on the ground and or forward spotters, there bombing is very crude and ineffective.

Russia could not foresee nor contain the IS counterattack near Sukhnah and now Russia and SAA are blaming IS advances out of Tanf, crossing undetected over 175kms open desert controlled by RuAF.

As according to many commenters here US is both stupid and ineffective, why then do you assume USAF is able to do what RuAF is unable to do?

Seems you are not being very consistent here.

Wahid Algiers

I am sure the US-fucked coalition did so. But always some meters in the back of ISIS gatherings to herd this cattle in direction of Syria.

Kennethllindsy

SDF wanted to make a deal and let ISIS evacuate with the Hostages. USA refused.

USA is escalating bombing campaign instead to beat ISIS into surrender.

Who is your source, my friend?
I really doubt what you’re saying.

dutchnational

go to #raqqa, #sdf, #raqqa24, @markito0171 and more and you will find the links.

Anyone can find them, even if you have to google

Terence Silvestre Jr.

That’s the problem.
In none of the sites you mention there is nothing credible and reliable sources or not that supports your previous comment, I’m afraid.
If I wrong, we would thank you so much everyone here, if you add some link in your next comment as many of us we have done previously to avoid speculation and writing just for writing without any proof, please my friend.

The source is FSA communications officer still active, but claims to be not and pretends to be a journalist.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

OKey my friend,
It is very possible and more coming from a source, being a actor so involved in the facts.
We just have to wait for the development of everything for confirmation of the asserted, or not.
Thank you for your kindness in replying, my friend.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

From act to fact there is a world away.
If these bombings really take place, it must be with false toys ammunitions, or against the ghosts and stones of the desert, I think.
Because with more attacks of the coalition of the United States, more they multiply themselft, the immortal rats of ISIS
