It’s hard to be an American ally in Afghanistan.

On March 13, US aircraft struck an Afghan army checkpoint after pro-government troops had accidentally opened fire at a joint U.S. and Afghan force convoy.

Army Lt. Ubon Mendie, a spokesman for U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, told Military Times that the US Air Force conducted “precision self-defense air strikes” on positions from which the fire had been opened. He claimed that the US force attempted to de-escalate the situation, but continued to receive fire.

“We are operating in a complex environment where enemy fighters do not wear uniforms and use stolen military vehicles to attack government forces,” Mendie stressed.

According to the Kabul government, 5 soldiers were killed and 10 others were wounded in the incident. No US casualties were reported.

Nobody knows better than the US military that “friendly fire” is a rubbish excuse.
They use it themselves all the times to bomb and kill various people intentionally, so they don’t buy it when it’s used on them, even genuinely.

Every mad man think all other men mad.

They are crazy, more Americans in Vietnam were killed by friendly fire than by the Vietnamese.
If they see something they kill it, friend or foe it doesn’t seem to matter to Americans.

As Napoleon said: ““Never interfere with your enemy when he is making a mistake.”
The US gov is its own worst enemy.
And as i have said before; with US as your “friend”, you dont need any enemys.

The most likely truth is that the US cooperated with the Taliban, protecting and escorting a convoy of their own. The Afghan regular army rightly attacked them for treason and connivance with the enemy in time of war. The Americans have been collaborating with ISIS for years in Syria and they are doing the same today with the Taliban who first, with Bin Laden, talked about fighting. They are false, supporters of terrorism.
