On September 24, the United States Army Africa Command (AFRICOM) announced in an official statement that US warplanes conducted airstrikes on a training camp of ISIS in Libya on September 22.

According to the US AFRICOM, the camp is located 240 km southeast of Sirte city.

US warplanes conducted 6 “precision” airstrikes on ISIS camp killing 17 ISIS fighters and destroying 3 vehicles of ISIS, according to the US AFRICOM statement.

The US AFRICOM revealed the camp was used by ISIS to move fighters in and out of Libya, to plot attacks and to store weapons.

On May 31, 2015, ISIS captured Sirte city after a rapid attack on Libya Shield Force in the city, and declared that the city became a part of the supposed “Islamic Caliphate”.

On December 6, 2016, forces of the Libyan Government of National Accord GNA) backed by the US and other NATO countries recaptured Sirte city from ISIS. However, to this day ISIS is still on control of the desert area mainly south of Sirte city.

In its statement, the US AFRICOM acknowledged that “ISIS and al-Qaeda have taken advantage of ungoverned spaces in Libya to establish sanctuaries for plotting, inspiring and directing terror attacks.”

I couldn’t care less what the US is doing against ISIS as it is not genuine, just show.

swirlydragon

US creates the problem and then pretends to solve it (so that people believe US is the good guy) when in reality it couldn’t care less about it as long as it can loot that country which is infected by a problem created by US

Just reverse everything in that communique and you get close to the truth.

Obama and Clinton should be charged for crimes against humanity for what they did to Libya. Leadership of Western Europe was just as guilty. Where is UN? A worthless cabal.

IH8Lies

The US will never see one of it own charged, happy to send others to Hague to face charges but never their own.
Hypocrisy at it’s best.
