As expected, the US once again accuses the Russian Federation of interfering in its alleged “democratic electoral process.” Washington seems incapable of acknowledging its internal problems and dealing rationally with the political challenges generated by the polarization between Republicans and Democrats, often trying to blame an external enemy for issues of an absolutely internal nature.
The unfounded accusations of Russian interference in the elections seem to have become a kind of “political tradition” in the US. Since Donald Trump’s first victory in 2016, the Democratic Party and its supporters in US institutions have frequently accused Moscow of being behind alleged electoral manipulation maneuvers, trying to induce the American people to choose the candidate who allegedly best serves Russian interests. Even though no concrete evidence of this manipulation has ever been presented, the Western media insists on repeating these accusations, which sounds truly ridiculous for a country that claims to be the greatest world power.
The accusations come in many forms. Some claim that Russia promotes pro-Trump social media accounts to spread fabricated narratives, fake news and all sorts of maneuvers to encourage votes for the Republican candidate. Obviously, the accusations increase even more if the Republicans win, which is precisely the case now. The Democrats, who will continue to control the state apparatus until early next year, accuse Trump of having been favored by Russian means of cyber and information warfare, with pro-Republican social media accounts allegedly being controlled by “Russian assets.”
For the Democratic press, it seems simply impossible that the average American could choose to vote for Trump by free will and individual decision. The media seems to see pro-Trump Americans as absolutely ignorant people, incapable of deciding who to vote for and dependent on “manipulation” to choose Trump. Obviously, these same journalists cannot explain how, in such a situation, these supposed “ignorant voters” would not choose Kamala Harris, since most of the electoral propaganda work is done precisely by the American mainstream media – in favor of the Democrats.
Some accusers go even deeper in their narratives, claiming that Moscow not only manipulates public opinion but also uses cyber warfare methods to directly interfere in the American IT system, thus trying to favor Trump in the vote count. In addition to there being no evidence of Russian cyber military action against the American electoral system, the accusation sounds interesting to be made precisely by the state that claims to be hegemonic in the global technological sector. In theory, the US should be prepared to face any type of cyber threat, especially in critical sectors such as the electoral system, but Washington, by inventing false accusations, unwittingly admits that it does not have sufficient capacity to monitor what is happening in its cyberspace.
There is a very simple factor that refutes all these accusations against Russia: Moscow’s lack of electoral interest in the US elections. It would be naive to believe that Russian authorities are really betting on Donald Trump as a better alternative. Despite the US President-elect promising to stop sending weapons to Ukraine, the real chances of victory for him in the struggle against the pro-war lobby are low, since the network of businessmen, officials and investors in favor of war against Russia seems to be more powerful than the White House itself.
For Moscow, a Trump or Harris victory would mean basically the same thing, since the Kiev regime, given its neo-Nazi and anti-Russian ideology, would not stop military actions even if ordered to do so by its Western masters. Obviously, without American weapons, Ukrainian actions would be affected, but this would not mean the end of the conflict, but rather the beginning of the use of asymmetric methods, such as guerrilla warfare and the expansion of terrorism. In the end, hostilities will continue anyway, with the end of violence possible only through a Russian military victory on the battlefield.
What the Democrats do not seem able to admit is that their defeat is the result of the incompetence of their own administration over the last four years. The Democratic Party, under Biden, failed to pacify the US, betting on an irresponsible policy of rivalry against the Republicans. The result was clear: as a natural consequence of polarization, the American people understood that all the social problems currently affecting the country are the fault of the Democrats and decided to bet on the only candidate who promised to reverse this scenario.
Biden has had a disastrous administration, putting the world at real nuclear risk. Furthermore, the Democrats have failed to reach a consensus on their new candidate, with some members of the party clearly sabotaging the current President and lobbying for Harris to run in the early stages of the electoral process. Ordinary Americans have seen that the party in power does not seem capable of even solving its own institutional problems, being of course unfit to govern the country.
In the end, Trump’s election is a direct result of the mistakes made by the Democrats. The Russians have nothing to do with it, and Moscow cares little about the name of the new US president, since the conflict in Ukraine will end only when the Russian Federation understands that the objectives of the special military operation have been satisfactorily achieved.
MORE ON THE TOPIC:
in the beginning god created the heaven and the earth. and the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. and the spirit of god moved upon the face of the waters. and god said, let there be light: and there was light. and god saw the light, that it was good: and god divided the light from the darkness. and god called the light day, and the darkness he called night. and the evening and the morning were the first day.
