On the morning of February 6, an explosion was heard on the outskirts of the Russian city of Kaluga. The head of the region claimed that a drone exploded in the air over the forest area near the city.
The incident took place at about 5 am local time. The drone exploded in the air at an altitude of 50 meters near the city. Representatives of law enforcement agencies are working at the scene.
No one was injured, there is no damage to social and civil facilities, – the head of the region reported.
The local sources did not clarify the origin of the drone. It was not reported if the drone was launched by the Ukrainian military from the Ukrainian territory. The drone could also be launched by any local sabotage groups coordinated by the Kiev regime.
The city of Kaluga is located 300 kilometers to the north-west from the Ukrainian border and only about 130 kilometers from Moscow.
This is not the first drone incident in the Russian Kaluga region. In early October, another UAV exploded when falling at an airfield near the city. The following week, air defense forces shot down another unidentified UAV in the southern part of the region. In both cases, according to local authorities, there were no casualties and destruction.
