On August 20, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the full control of the town of New York. The settlement renamed by the Kyiv regime got back its name of Novgorodskoe.
As a result of heavy battles, units of the Russian Center group of forces destroyed a large grouping of the armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Toretsk. As a result of successful offensive operations, the Russian army took control of one of the largest settlements of the local Urban agglomeration, the town of Novgorodskoe. This settlement served as an important logistics hub of the Ukrainian military during the years of war in the Donbass.
On the morning of August 20, reports from the frontlines confirmed the completion of the mop up operation at the local phenolic plant and on the northern outskirts of the town.
On August 19, the Russian Ministry of Defense also confirmed the full control of the village of Artyomovo, previously known as Zalizne.
Russian assault groups are already in the center of the village of Nelepovka located to the northwest of Novgorodskoe.
Russian victories are threatening Ukrainian stronghold in Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk). Russian forces already launched assault on the eastern outskirts of the city; and they are approaching it from the southern direction.

luckily, this small town has its real name back. calling this city “new york” was embarrassing. but nazis are usually too stupid to feel shame.
the name new york was the legacy of dutch/german mennonites who brought modern agriculture to ukraine. they bought these farmlands and the wife of the previous owner was american and requested the new village to have this name.
and the problem is that they agreed to this stupidity.

donetsk was named as yuzovka when it was village of workers. yuzovka derives from name of john hughes — owner of local metal factory in 19 century. since 1921 — stalin. since 1924 — stalino. since 1961 — donetsk.
