Ukrainian Militants Fought Wagner In Sudan - Ukrainian Media

In mid-September CNN reported that the Ukrainian special services were likely behind a series of drone strikes and a ground operation against the Russian PMCs in Sudan. Today, Ukrainian sources are sharing footage reportedly showing servicemen of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducting operations against the Rapid Reaction Forces (RSF) and units of the Wagner PMCs in Sudan.

Ukrainian media shared the footage of operations by some unidentified servicemen. It includes the work of a sniper, shootouts in different areas and attacks by FPV drones. The report referred to CNN and cited some anonymous “sources in military intelligence”, the media quote from the head of the GUR Budanov who claimed his desire to “kill Russians” around the world.

If confirmed, the reports highlight Ukraine’s active intervention in foreign conflicts despite the ongoing war on its own territory. Kiev is yet to officially comment on the issue, while the Sudanese authorities also prefer to keep silent, probably unwilling to worsen their relations with Russia.

Various unofficial sources claim that today there may be up to 50-100 Ukrainian servicemen on the territory of Sudan. In its turn, Sudan can supply its weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.

The Transitional Sovereign Council, which represents Angar, was established in April 2019 after a military coup that overthrew the country’s president Omar al-Bashir. The Transitional Council included representatives of the army and the paramilitary RSF. On April 15 of this year, clashes began between the army and the RSF, which continue to this day. The conflict broke out after the parties failed to agree on how the RSF would be integrated into the armed forces and how power in the country would be transferred to the civilian government.

In June, the representative of the Transitional National Council of Sudan claimed that there were no representatives of the Wagner PMC in the country. He denied the cooperation of the PMCs with the Rapid Reaction Forces involved in the civil conflict. In April, the founder of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that there had not been a single fighter of his group in Sudan for more than two years.

strange, ukropian pigs are proud of their role in foreign countries as mercenaries, yet their current a$$kicking on home soil is a source of deep shame.
