The situation remains tense in the Kherson region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue attacks on the eastern bank of the Dnieper river which is under the control of the Russian military. Ukrainian assault groups are crossing the river amis the heavy artillery battles.

According to preliminary reports, on the night of August 8, Ukrainian boats each carrying up to 6-7 servicemen and covered by smokescreen landed west of the village of Сossak Lageri on the astern bank in the Kherson region. According to the official reports of the local authorities, there were two boats. Some sources claimed that the assault group included seven boats. The speech of Polish and Georgian mercenaries was reportedly heard in the interceptions.

They attacked Russian positions in the village from the flank and reached the settlement. The Ukrainian military officials hurried to declare the seizure of positions in the village. However, their claims turned out to be far from reality.

According to reports from the front, the attack took place after the rotation of Russian forces in the area and the AFU took advantage of their confusion. However, the Russian units, which were caught by surprise, managed to mobilize and took the fight. With the support of artillery, Russian troops took up a shooting battle. Ukrainian forces on the western bank also opened artillery fire.

In order to prevent their encirclement from the flank, the units of the Russian Armed Forces withdrew to the area west of the village. As a result of the battle, the AFU failed to enter the village or gain a foothold and retreated.

Some Russian sources claimed that Russian losses exceeded. The village remains under Russian control. There are civilians and they were not disturbed.

In their turn, Russian servicemen showed Ukrainian servicemen reportedly captured in the battle:

Ukrainian attempts to cross the Dnieper river continue almost on a daily basis. The AFU is probing the front likely looking for some weak spots to expand their foothold on the eastern bank. Last night, the Russian Armed Forces knocked out the AFU from the area east of the railway bridge across the Dnieper, which Ukrainian forces attacked with small groups.

Russian artillery destroyed Ukrainian boats near the Antonovsky bridge:

The AFU are still in control of the area near the Antonovsky Bridge on the eastern bank. The Ukrainian military continues operations across the river aimed to replace forces in the area and supply them. The day before, one of the boats was hit and failed to reach the eastern bank but the second crew succeeded.

In the area of Golaya Pristan, the group of up to 15 servicemen on boats recently landed on Domakhsky Island. As a result of the operation, two Ukrainian boats were destroyed and one came back to Ukrainian positions.

Amid the ongoing operations across the river, the AFU continue shelling civilian settlements in the Kherson region that are under Russian control. Last night, the villages of Novaya Kakhovka, KAiry, Peschanovka, Aleshki, Kardashinka, Golaya Pristan came under fire. Fortunately, there were no reports about civilian casualties.

probably not, they’re already hiding like in 1945, they’re good to fight bridges, pipelines and civilians, now that they know they lost they are running to save themselves like cowards and let mercenary and young men get in the grinder. we’re gonna have to hunt them down again after this war.

the ukrainian leadership must continue to sacrifice more and more soldiers to collect money from biden. long after realizing they have no chance to win.
