Ukrainian continuous violations to the ceasefire in Donbas region

Vladimir Kononov, DPR’s Defense Ministry

The Ministry of Defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) informed yesterday of a series of attacks occurred on November 27th in the frontline of the mentioned territory. There are no civilian fatalities, but a member of DPR militia was killed and another one is severely injured.

More than 20 mines were fired onto the republic’s territory in the venues of the Oktyabrsky settlement and the territory of the Donetsk airport, as well as nearby settlements Zhabunki and Spartak.

A ceasefire was agreed in the Minsk talks to be applied since September 1st, but there are reports of regular shelling in the outskirts of Donetsk and Gorlovka.

According to DPR’s representatives, the situation is worsening every time more with the increase of bombardments in the northern and western regions of Donetsk over the last month.

Despite the measures contemplated in the Minsk agreements and its supplements known as Minsk-2, like the implementation of the ceasefire, heavy-weaponry and tanks withdrawal, Kiev has been systematically violating the arrangements in several occasions.

The Normandy Four group has also been discussing over the settlement in Ukraine focusing on topics like the full implementation of the Minsk Agreements, including withdrawal of armaments, elections, amnesty, gas issues and other crises, including air services. However, humanitarian crisis doesn’t seem to improve.
