Ukraine Uses Washington Post To Spread Military Propaganda

The Ukrainian Embassy in the US published a promotional piece titled “Standing Up With Ukraine Today Will Invest In Security Tomorrow” in October 23 issue of The Washington Post.

The piece promotes collaboration between the US and Ukrainian defense and security sectors, the achievements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the importance of military-technical assistance to help “against Russian aggression.”

“Ukraine is ready for the next step,” says the piece. “In the last three years [Ukraine] has shown in-depth and game-changing reforms in the defense and security sector,” it adds citing US military assistance as “vital to Ukraine’s defense so far.”

The piece lists various achievements, like Ukraine spending 5.6% of its GDP on defense and security and the joint military projects with the US like Antonov aircrafts with Honeywell avionics and Ukrainian armed vehicles with Allison Transmission. It also claims that 8 battalions have reached interoperability with NATO standards, and that since 2015 the US instructors have trained more than 4000 servicemen.

The promo also quotes the Heritage foundation report, which says: “Thanks to international training, the Ukrainian military is professional, is capable, and has demonstrated responsibility for advanced weapons.”

It is interesting to note that the piece is not labeled as an advertizing.

As a US taxpayer, my only hope for shaking off the eternal funding of the parasitic, corrupt Ukrainian government and military is that the place will soon be depopulated of almost ALL working-age people. Another success of US regime-change. What do the oligarchs do when all the tax cattle and debt slaves flee? There’s nobody left to exploit. Better start importing new slaves from the Middle East and Africa.

When all the Peopleare gone the oligarchs buy the land and it’s rights for next to nothing!

“…piece lists various achievements, like Ukraine spending 5.6% of its GDP on defense and security and the joint military projects with the US..”

Defending what, poverty and homelessness? First off, the Washington Post is the CIA rag. Secondly, Ukrainians are being setup as cannon fodder for US goals in the region against Russia. Notice how the investment is not in the people of Ukraine (agriculture, industry, jobs etc), but in war preparation. Ukraine will remain a failed state until it is either annihilated in a war with Russia or kicks the barbaric psychopaths out of the country and regains it’s sovereignty.

Olypious

This propaganda piece reads like Ukraine is at war with Russia, which is totally false.

“Ukrainians are being setup as cannon fodder for US goals in the region against Russia.”
Yeah … And the sad part is, this is on behalf of the banking cartel who rule the West.
PNAC = NWO = One World Currency.

true, but it ain’t going to work. China is going to be using it’s gold backed yuan to purchase oil. Petrol dollar is going to have competition and I don’t believe there’ll be an invasion of China over it.

Olypious

That’s why they are going to war. They don’t accept this outcome.

AMHants

I never realised the Washington Post had a comedy section? Guess they left out how much it is costing the US tax payers?

You can pretty much ridicule that report (propaganda) by only the following basis.

If there was an invasion of Ukraine already for over 3 years… where are all the air forces, tactical missile strikes and tank formations. And to top of the icing on the cake. STATIC front lines, like in WW1, in the year of the lord 2017? Where are the shifting fronts, and where are all the other invasion fronts from the Russian border? Where are the reports of tens of thousands casualties all over Ukraine, not in Donbass (excluding those killed by Kiev fascist government)?

Antikapitalista

Where have they been training all those “servicemen”? I hope that not in Ukraine, as that would probably be a substantial violation of the Minsk agreements—regarding the presence of foreign troops in Ukraine and their withdrawal.
