Ukraine Released New PZM-3 Armored Trencher Machine

A new PZM-3 armored trencher machine was developed and produced by Kryukov Railway Car Building Works PJSC and AutoKrAZ PJSC, the Military Informant news portal reported. The PZM-3, also named KVSZ-4003, was mounted on wheel KrAZ-5233HE truck chassis and designed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign customers.

The PZM-3 is capable of digging trenches, pits and foundation ditches on different soils, covering up ditches and pits, as well as clearing, leveling, moving earth. The new armored trencher machine can be used for backfilling of tranches and to dig in holes, and also for clearing roads winter time, as well as for ameliorative works, cabling of power grids and communication lines, and construction of objects of local value.

The elevating mechanism of the PZM-3 allows to carry out independent pulling-out and lifting operations, and provides the necessary traction effort of digger in tranches and ditches in frozen and marshiness grounds. The armored trencher machine is equipped with a remote control system that means the PZM-3 can be operated remotely. The machine is able to operate in harsh environments: in extreme weather, climate and road conditions all over the temperature range from – 40 C to + 40 C.

The configuration of the new armored trencher machine PZM-3 can be customized upon customer request.
