Late on October 18, the Kiev regime received the second cargo of military-technical equipment from the U.S. The supply was carried out according to an agreement reached between Presidents Vladimir Zelensky and Joe Biden during their last meeting.
“In order to achieve full compatibility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with NATO member countries, the Cabinet of Ministers has implemented the President’s initiative to supply medical equipment and weapons with ammunition,” the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.
The first batch arrived to Ukraine on October 10th. It consisted of medicament, equipment for hospitals, rockets, precision weapons, radar surveillance equipment.
However, the exact content of the second batch was not revealed.
Kiev also expects to receive the third batch from the United States soon. The U.S. has pledged to transfer $60 million worth of material assets to Ukraine in addition to the previously agreed assistance of $ 250 million. Ukraine has already received more than $2 billion of logistical support from the United States since 2014.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is going to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Minister of Defense Andrii Taran to reiterate Washington’s support the Kiev government.
