U.S. Citizen, Canadian Service Member Murdered In Iraq

A Untied States citizen and a service member of the Canadian military were reportedly murdered in two separate accidents in Iraq.

On November 7, 45-year-old Stephen Edward Troell, a U.S. citizen, was fatally shot in the center of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. Troell, a native of Tennessee, was shot and killed by two unidentified assailants in his car as he pulled up to the street where he lived with his family in the Karrada district.

Troell had been living in Baghdad for two years and had worked for a civil society organization that taught English to Iraqis.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, less than two weeks in office, ordered an investigation into the mudere of Torell.

“The timing of the murder of an American citizen in Baghdad puts question marks,” al-Sudani said, adding: “Security is a red line.”

The US Embassy in Baghdad said it was closely monitoring the investigation by Iraqi authorities, but declined to comment further.

Also on November 7, the Canadian military announced that it is investigating the death of a Winnipeg-based soldier who was stationed in Iraq.

In a press release, the Canadian Department of National Defense said that 38-year-old Captain Eric Cheung died on November 6 under non-operational-related circumstances in Baghdad. The department noted that no further details about the circumstances of the death will be made available until the investigation is complete.

“Our thoughts are with Capt. Cheung’s family and friends. The Canadian Armed Forces are supporting Captain Cheung’s loved ones with assistance during these challenging times,” the press release reads.

Cheung had been a service member of the Canadian military since 2009. Prior to his death, he was serving as an operations officer with 38 Canadian Brigade Group headquarters, which based in Winnipeg. He was in Baghdad as part of the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS.

While terrorist groups or lone radicals could be behind the shooting of Troell, it is still unclear how exactly Cheung died. The death of the two men came at a time when security conditions in Iraq were thought to be improving.

Living as an spy deployed in foreign country is a dangerous job. If the host Inteligence Agency discovers you; you must escape or face retaliation… 2 spies less in Iraq I guess

After reading more about Mr. Troell, I would bet money that he is not a spy. The CIA likes to work with arms dealers, narcotics smugglers, and mercenaries. Clean cut Christians who bring their families abroad to engage in long-term community service tend to not be sociopathic enough to engage in the types of wicked cloak-and-dagger maneuvers they do.

Mr. Troell left the US behind and brought his own family to Baghdad; teaching English was only one part of his role.

Of course in this world, no good deed goes unpunished, and he was killed, perhaps because he may have encouraged a Muslim to convert to Christianity.

God job. Let’s hope the Iraqis will further clean up these scums

CIA agent short life span

The US “citizen” was a CIA agent and the so-called Canadian was a NATO occupation warmonger and a war criminal.

Everybody does use spies friend, so no big deal… and if you kill foreign agents its obvious they will retaliate killing your agents too. Killing somebody should not be your first option, it had to be your last option, you should send them warnings to advise to move out the country, use persuasive methods first and move according to protocols of Manage Foreign Agents after discovering them.

The most idiot language in the World is English. it is spoken in the world because it is a legacy of Anglo-Saxon colonialism and modern American imperialism.

I’m a Seventh day Adventist and if a Muslim invites me out of their country I would most definitely leave. I don’t want to get shot or worse yet beheaded like a bunch of dumb Zionist slaves cannon fodder were.

There are many… many… MIAs that won’t be coming home in caskets bound for Delaware or their names mentioned “to be found” whether it’s Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen or Ukraine EVER!…

And “why’ that is such a massively important footnote in the U.$. “Department of Dread” has more to do with the illegal invasions and occupation(s) ever since Iraq that hasn’t involved the U.$. Congress and Senate with “up” and “down” votes for war post the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.

After Libya… Syria… Yemen… and Ukraine… You sign on the dotted line to have your remains disappeared into a black hole forever with the POW/MIA flag of the 1970s for Vietnam Veterans with the tower and the silhouette with the words “You Are Not Forgotten” being replaced with the words CHUMP”$” ON PERMANENT HOLIDAY!…

“Where he lived with his family in the Karrada district.”

“Troell had been living in Baghdad for two years and had worked for a civil society organization that taught English to Iraqis.”

The US troops hide in their bases in Iraq (mainly Kurdish areas) for this very reason, who in the world thinks he is somehow welcome or not working with CIA, Mossad, or Wahhabis?

Also, “a civil society organization that taught English to Iraqis”… Iraqi teacher can tell English to Iraqis, there is no reason to enter and live in a country where his countryman murdered 1.5 million civilians.

“under non-operational-related circumstances in Baghdad.” And? That doesn’t mean he can just fuk around… that is a fair game.

I feel the Americans and Canadians have no business in Iraq. But I feel bad for two dead guys none the less.
Especially the Chinese guy in the right. He looks innocent and hard working but stupid.
