Two ISIS Top Members Killed In Airstrike In Mosul – Reports

The assistant of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the group’s Police Chief were killed by an airstrike in the central part of the Iraqi city of Mosul, Alsumaria reported on January 19, citing a security source in the province of Nineveh.

“The killed members also included the Islamic State’s Agriculture Minister in Tal Afar and Mahlabiya, Abdel Karim Khodier Sayer al-Juwan,” Alsumaria quoted an anonymous source as saying. “The airstrike was conducted based on accurate information from the Military Intelligence Directorate.”

Meanwhile, Lieutenant-General Abdul Ghani al-Assadi told Reuters that most ISIS commanders in Mosul have been killed in clashes with Iraqi government forces that took place over the past three months in eastern Mosul.

If true, this means that the terrorist group command staff suffered major casualties which can impact the ISIS combat capabilities.
