The Iranian military announced that two of its officers were killed in the Israeli attack that targeted the Islamic Republic early on October 26.
In a statement, the military said that the officers were killed “during confrontation with the projectiles fired by the criminal Zionist regime” as its forces were working “to safeguard Iran’s security and prevent harm to the Iranian nation and interests.”
Iranian activists identified the two officers as Major Hamzeh Jahandideh and Corporal Mohammad Mahdi Shaherkhifar. Both were reportedly air defense operators.
The early morning attack on Iran was a response to the October 1 large-scale missile strike on Israel. The attack was carried out in several waves over the course of several hours with blasts being reported in the Iranian capital, Tehran, as well as in the provinces of Karaj, Isfahan and Shiraz.
During the attack, Syrian state media reported that Israel struck several military sites in the south and center of the country. Israeli fighter jets were also spotted over Jordan.
The first wave of the attack reportedly targeted Iran’s air defense capabilities, while the second hit drone and ballistic missile manufacturing sites, as well as sites used to launch such weapons. Some 100 aircraft of the Israeli Air Force took part in the attack, which the Israeli military dubbed “Days of Repentance.”
Iran confirmed an Israeli attack had targeted military sites in Tehran and other parts of the country, but said it had caused “limited damage” and that air defense systems had successfully countered much of the attacks.
The Fire Information for Resource Management System, a near real-time active fire location service provided by the United States’ space agency NASA, showed a potential fire at a military site to the southwest of Tehran, where an American-made MIM-23 Hawk medium-range air defense system is known to be deployed, following the attack.

In addition, videos posted to social networks showed a factory in the town of Shamsabad, to the south of Tehran, that was allegedly damaged in the attack. Unverified reports said that three workers were killed at the factory, which is allegedly involved in the development and production of military drones.
The Axios news city reported that Israel warned Iran ahead of the retaliatory attack. However, the presence of casualties casts doubts on this claim.
Previously, Iran vowed to respond to any Israeli attack on its territory. However, Iranian officials have not talked yet about responding to the deadly morning strikes.
Any response by Iran could lead to a serious escalation and even an all-out war. At the same time, the lack of response could encourage Israel to escalate even further. Due to the complexity of the situation, the Iranian leadership will likely take time before making a decision.

putin is portraying himself as an alternative to the u.s. but at least u.s. are not throwing their allies under the bus so easily. what did the jeews promise putin in exchange for closing both eyes in syria and let them use it at will? i guess this will be again a great and mutually beneficial agreement, like in minsk. rotten western partners or treacherous putin, it is the same geopolitical shit.
and the lucky winners are jeews, as always. they f*cked up with the u.s. and their damned elections, at least we know blinken can beg on his knees to delay the attack at least after the elections and they told him to piss off. one mystery solved. and putin in brics summit in kazan is another gret victory for the jeews. imagine, so many countries gathered, looking at putin who is – now it is clear – a mossad double agent.
you’re a dumbass, but you’re also a zionazi, so if russia was really betraying syria or iran on behalf of israel, you would be so happy and in love with them that you would never “denounce” them so commitedly.
your attempt to sow suspicion and discord is so transparent it literally makes me giggle. you zionazis used to be good at war and deception, now you’re just the world’s laughing stock in both of these 🤣🤣
in the meantime, despite being sad that two iranian soldiers lost their lives, may they rest in peace, i’m looking forward to iran’s response.
the israeli attack was weak and pathetic, maybe hoping it would be below the threshold for iran to respond, but i hope iran will not make the mistake of letting it slide by. zionazis must pay.
this is the standard playbook of the us orchestrated 6th column in russia. putin is a traitor, putin is secretly a joo, putin is secretly a freemason, everything is a complete disaster and we might as well all just jump under a bus, everybody else apart from their faux uber patriotic little club are all corrupt imbeciles, etc. etc. etc.
putn’s long standing fake-arrangement with assad has been obvious from the off, just not to poor deluded assad who served as a perfect dupe. this has helped pave the way to dividing syria between the main 3 colonial protagonists and above all allowing for further impending israeli expansion.
there’ll be no ‘ceasefire’ as a reward, just personal ‘agreements’. this is long-term (oligarch driven) geopolitical investment served up putn style.
iran has its own people in syria, the question should be, why iran cant defend himself and shoot down some airplanes already over syria
cause isreal destoyes anthing that is able to hinder them shotly after it enters syrian air space.
what do you think all these attacks over the years on syria were for? all the weapons depots, air field hangers and some military commanders a couple times long before this new phase of tit for tat attacks started.
apart from south vietnam, diem, batista, somoza, the fake shah, noriega, mubarak, afghanistan, karzai, ghani, sgt. schulz in germany, zelensky next on the list. a us vassal’s (sorry, “ally’s”) life is not a happy one, used and discarded when convenient. plus the whole eu of course.
tit for tat. lets leave it at this for now. israel and iran cannot win a total war victory over each other, they both know this. israel just needs to understand that its war against palestinians is by far the greatest threat to its security and the biggest factor destablilizing the middle east. a palestinian state needs to be created. most of the world is behind it
iskhael never leaves anything “at that”. they always want more, they always get cockier the more they get away with their tantrums and crimes. sense needs to be spanked into them very hard so they either wake up and get real (i.e.: accept an honest peace deal) or they f. off all the way back to the sh*tholes they came from
ive always supported an iranian nculear program. its the best deterrent that will reign in the rabid little dog. iran’s ballistic missiles have already proven israel is vulnerable from above. and they know it. that is why they refrained from from hitting more sensitive sites, they know where they will get hit
i have to admit i have mixed feelings on that. on one hand israel has nukes and has always said they would use it when defeated (so called “samson option”), so there has to be a deterrence against that, which could be iranian nukes
on the other hand nuking palestine would be a loss even if it destroys the iskhaeli regime. it would kill hundreds of thousands of palestinians, lebanese and jordanians and make huge swaths of these lands uninhabitable for generations
being an atheist i personally don’t have strong feelings about this, but al quds has huge religious value for all muslims, nuking it is not even something imaginable and whoever would do this would be hated and cursed till end of times
not to mention all the cultural heritage and historical sites. this is our history as arabs, and i would never condone any action that would erase so much of it
but the invasiv zio parasites are errading history so they can claim all the land !!!
and the gas field owned by egypt, palestine, libanon, syria not accesible for europe. the invasiv zio parasite count on the gasfield to delivre for more than 40 years to europe !!!
just nuke tel aviv.
an isolated iran with nukes to protect itself is ok an iran who controls all of the middle east and has nukes will not stop at that. no country will. all those who say the west or china or russia does not want to rule the planet is lying its just that there is no option now. same with iran.
iran could just “borrow” a few warheads from dprk. kim has got plenty to spare. the 2 countries have been friends and allies for 40 years.
there can be no israhell !!! us and uk has to take there bastard they dumped in palestine back home !!! that invasiv parasite must be exterminated to the last genetic and humanity is save.
imagine millions of these khazarian zio baby killers back in europe – there will hell on the earth
let me think all european media will have it as the main news. the eu will have a special solidarity tax to build them homes and give them everything they need and eu polititians will say that this may be a catastrophe but all this smart, educated people are just what europe needed. they will get their zelinsky and all of the eu will be like urkaine. jews at the top some ethnicitys loyal to them as their junior partners, probably brits and french the rest slaves and cannonfodder.
they are in the endgame as is the west. total victory or bust. we will see the result within years.
the israel vs iran monthly ‘handbags at dawn’ contest provides more media theatre, following on nicely from the pkk’s attack against tusus in ankara.
in fact it’s so nicely scripted media should assign tv soap critics not war correspondents to write some decent headlines for these events utilising ‘dumped’, ‘vengeful’, ‘distraught’, ‘unfaithful’, ‘scheming’, ‘ambitious’, ‘regretful’, ‘forgotten’, ‘two-timing’ etc.
it is just such a long distance, and iran is such a vast opponent for a small country to damage, that this is like a pinprick. this is why israel asks america to fight iran for it, while israel’s own military struggles to penetrate 100 meters into lebanon
putin is a zionist stooge and will never help iran. zionists attack syria every day and russia does nothing.
if you analyzes putin’s apply form for visa (mother name and mother nationality) you will understand his love for zio khazars
he is but he will anyhow protect iran from nuclear attack, as will china, that’s enough for iran and allies, who are essentually the whole regional humanity, to defeat the usa and their genocidal colonial puppet. there will be revolutions and a land invasion (liberation) of palestine, mark my words.
this will have massive repercussions: the usa (“israel”) wants war and will get it.
putin a russian orthodox christian want a secure israel state as do most western christians. putin may sympathize with jewish people but not necessarily the current us zionazi regime. brics and regional geopolitics are tempering the hands of iranian escalation. i do agree at some point as events further dictate there will be massive repercussions similar as you describe as the colonial powers must taste a decisive defeat.
iran is owed some dead shlomos.
tit for tat or you will be seen as weak and they will fuck u up
so many experts, so many that know nothing
