Turkish Cargo Ship “LIRA” Was Arrested for Ramming Crimean Bridge

On the 23d of March, the Rostov Arbitral Court arrested the Turkish cargo ship “Lira” (IMO:8516744), which rammed the support of a constructed bridge over the Kerch Strait.

A marine protest for damages has been brought to the ship owner, Turkuaz Shihhing Corp (later updates: the formal ship owner is Voda Shipping, Uzunçayır Cad. Kadıköy Yapı Merkezi No:31 C1 Blok Kat:3 D:28 Hasanpaşa / Kadıköy / İSTANBUL / TURKEY 34722).
“The cargo ship was arrested to ensure marine protest of “SGM-Bridge” LLC. Interim measures in the form of arrest are required for subsequent recovery of damages in a judicial procedure”, — stated the court.
