The Turkish military launched Operation Claw-Tiger against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region on June 15. More than 700 positions of the Kurdish group have been targeted in the framework of the operation, so far.
According to the Kurdistan Region Government, Turkish airstrikes claimed lives of at least six Kurdish civilians.
Claw-Tiger in the most recent in a series of operations targeting PKK remnants in Kurdstan. These operations inflicted serious losses on the group. Nevertheless, the Kurdish group continues to maintain a strong presence in the region.
If the Kurds still maintain a strong presence in the region then claw-tiger is more of a wet kitten. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Let’s hope this loss of life isn’t the thin end of the wedge for International law breaking Turkish soldiers. No really. :)
did Iraq oppose the operation?
No one like the treacherous Kurds.
The Iraqi gov is base, weak and bought through and through. Only the militia units have any real patriotic zeal to fight off these Turdos
