On February 1, the Turkish Army and its proxies from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) captured the strategic town of Bulbul, the center of Bulbul district north of the city of Afrin, according to Syrian oppositions sources. Over 24 fighters of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) were killed and at least one other was captured by Turkish forces during the clashes inside the town.

The Turkish-backed FSA groups also announced that their fighters had captured the villages of Ali Kar, Za’ra and al-Ham in the Bulbul district.

From its side, the YPG announced that its fighters had killed 20 fighters of the Turkish forces during clashes in the village of Qurna. Moreover, YPG fighters reportedly destroyed a vehicle of the Turkish Army in the village of Za’ra.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Anadolu Agency announced that warplanes of the Turkish Air Force (TAF) destroyed 18 positions of the YPG in the Afrin area in overnight airstrikes. Kurdish sources claim that over 104 civilians have been killed, and 156 other have been injured in the TAF bombardment so far.

The capture of Bulbul by the Turkish Army was a huge blow to the YPG that had failed to counter the Turkish attack. Experts believe that the YPG will lose more towns soon if it does not agree to solve the crisis in the Afrin area politically with the support of the Iranian-Syrian-Russian alliance.

If Turkey becomes encouraged to attack Manbij after some successes in Afrin the possible consequence’s are many. A direct conflict with US troops would indeed open a Pandoras box but from the safety of my armchair it would be fascinating. :)

Well…………. the americans and the israelis will save them, the same way when they put them up to declaring Independence. This countries, prove the old saying when you have this kind of friends you don’t need any enemies. And I am referring to the governments of this two puppets countries and not the population living in them, that I guess most of them, are regular people.

VGA

Only Israel supported the referendum, not the US. Also, it was in Iraq, not Syria.

Promitheas Apollonious

Yes? and what exactly is the difference between israel and US? Same shit different name and you obviously are confused as to who is who and what they do in middle east and why.

I know where they attempted to create the hard core of their new country as well the future expansion plans of said country that will never exist becoming the stepping stone to create, no a kurdish nation, but the greater israel. Now if you want to over look what is happening and go into technicalities as to who pay the bills there which diffidently is not israel and whose arming them, to create the havoc they do, is another story.

as

For fuck sake please KURDS IF YOU ARE A LEGITIMATE ADMINISTRATIVE POWER IN THE REGION GET THE CIVILIANS EVACUATED! SICK PEOPLE HIDING BEHIND CIVILIANS.

Mike

No they wont because they learned a lot from their black ISIS friends. Taking civilians as shields is a option for them, in order not to lose the war.
