Turkish Airstrikes Neutralize 34 PKK Members In Northern Iraq

Turkish airstrikes have neutralized 34 members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq since the start of an operation there, the country’s military said on January 12. Separately, the Turkish General Staff clarified that 18 PKK members were killed in the period from June 1 to June 8.

Last night, Turkish warplanes reportedly destroyed 12 targets in northern Iraq. A part of the targets was destroyed in the area of Qandil, which was recently included in the area of the Turkish military operations.

On June 11, President Recep Erdogan declared  that Turkey had launched operations against the PKK in both Qandil and Sinjar regions in northern Iraq. These areas are well-known for being strongholds of the PK in northern Iraq.

To me things like this show who really controls/owns the land, the Iraqi government is more or less complicit in this.
