On November 19, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin participated in an official ceremony marking the completion of the offshore section of the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline. The 930km-long section runs along the bottom of the Black Sea and is designed to deliver Russian gas to the Turkish market.
Its construction was started in May 2017. It will be continued by a 180km land transit line, which is set to supply the countries of south and southeast Europe with natural gas. The first deliveries via the Turksih Stream are scheduled for the end of 2019.
The complicated pipeline will be able to carry 31.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year from Russia to Turkey. It’s among the biggest joint projects of Turkey and Russia.
Does this means that Russia will allow Turkey to do whaterver it wants in Syria ?
Run Forrest run.
Nope – it means Russia is dealing with several complex realities at once – and creating an increasing Turkish market dependence upon Russian natural gas exports.
I wanted to point out that there may be a correlation between Russia-Turkey economic and commercial agreements, and Russia-Turkey agreement in Syria. Who has priority ?
It is not clear to me, but it looks like the first is much stronger than the second one.
Lol…anything to cojoin them as a siamese twin and make sure they can’t close the Bosphorus. But, the Bulgarians really look foolish now. They will be paying fees instead of collecting transfer fees. That’s what being serfs does to you.
