Turkey is planning to boost its defense and aerospace exports up to $10.2 billion by 2023, the country’s “Strategic Plan 2019-2023” which was released by the defense procurement agency (SSB) revealed.

Last year, Ankara made $2 billion from exports related to its defense and aerospace sector. The country is not only looking to quintuple this number in four years, but also to rise the annual revenue of the sector from $6.7 billion in 2018 to $26.9 billion by 2023.

According to a report released by Defense News on December 10, Turkey will restructure its defense export incentive system as a part of the plan. The SSB will also launch a government to government sales scheme in 20 countries.

Furthermore, Ankara is planning to adopt a new procurement model; prioritizing programs that minimize dependency on foreign-made systems; and supporting models that bolster the country’s ability to compete in high-tech markets internationally.

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been working since 2002 to boost the country’s defense industry. In the last few years, Ankara moved beyond its traditional relation with U.S. defense companies, improving cooperation with Europe, China, Ukraine and even Russia.

Turkey is hoping that by 2023, domestic industry will meet 75 percent of military requirements. These goals maybe harder than what Ankara is anticipating, especially with the country’s economic crisis and the deteriorating relations with the U.S.

So…essentially ALL countries who emphasized their military without a major economic burst and industrial evolution ended up losing more than they invested.

…and now everyone is in the game of trying to make their own arms to save money in their own military, while exporting arms to hopefully pay for those indebted factories. The only thing missing is enough arms buyers. Time to stir up a few more wars.

Situation looks kind of bleak down here, God. Better send Jesus back down to do a little tribulating and de-Satanizing. Do it for the children.

Yes. It might give more peace giving Kurds modern equipment for agriculture in schools for it as well.

Now that’s something I doubt I’ll ever see in my lifetime, Jens. Convoys of US semitrailers crossing the loaded with basic farming equipment like tractors or simple pickup trucks (without the twin 20mm autocannon). School buses – never seen one in Rojava. Cheap motorcycles and motor scooters for transportation. Tanker trucks to reestablish normal fuel distribution. Road maintenance equipment. Schools for mechanics so at least a few teenage guys have career options other than ‘putting bullets through some other guy’s head’.

We (US) managed to ship plenty of guns, RPGs and MRAPs to the Kurds because we could use them as a proxy army. Equipping the Kurds now to feed themselves or rebuild their infrastructure or some kind of economy? Nonsense! That doesn’t benefit the US geopolitical goals. Besides, we can use their miserable living conditions as further evidence that Assad is doing nothing for them. In a few years, we’ll send them more guns, RPGs and MRAPs. That’s what we do!

Pickup trucks with twin cannon are use full in harvesting dense crops in the midwest.
Seems you city folk in Jersey have no understanding of farming methods!
This is how we roll. :)

I’m really from the Twin Cities, PZIVJ – just joking about Jersey. But your autocannons will come in handy when the SHTF and the food riots start. Everyone will flee the concrete jungle here and head south – like a swarm of locusts – eating every crop in sight as we pass through. I’ll be at the front of the pack, gnawing at your tasty ears of corn like a rat. You’ll recognize me once you light up the fields with the twin 20’s. I’ll be the one running away with my hands in the air screaming like a little girl. “Stop shooting at me. For Christ’s sake, I’m made of MEAT!

Not always. They have their big forces to support themselves as custumer. But “restructure” often says a lot of money is invested and not much so far has been comming back.

So far I have seen nothing, which it better, then You can buy anywhere else.

Its a very tuff market.

Normally You send to friends, but Turks has less and less friends too. O only can wish them luck in restructiring that too.
