On Tuesday, President Trump held a joint press conference with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri in Washington. Trump talked about continued humanitarian support of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and some cooperation in fighting the terrorism.

However, according to Trum, Lebanese Hezbollah is one of the key security problems for Lebanon and “is a menace to the Lebanese state, the Lebanese people, and the entire region.”

“The group continues to increase its military arsenal which threatens to start yet another conflict with Israel. With the support of Iran, the organization is also fueling humanitarian catastrophe in Syria,” the US president added. “Hezbollah likes to portray itself as a defender of Lebanese interests, but it’s very clear that its true interests are those of itself and its sponsor, Iran.”

Trump emphasized that “Lebanon is on the front lines against terrorism of ISIS, Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah.”

The only problem is that Hezbollah is in the Lebanese government. Did the US president just forget this?

You must be sad that won the election and now doesn’t stand in the way of Russia to exterminate your jihadists friends.

Kids in Africa

Did i say i was friends of Jihadists not really and i am not that sad who won the 2016 election Hillary or Trump their both figurehead.

Trump has political reality in the US, he isn’t the only person in the government. There are many permanent fixtures, that are difficult to overcome. They get in the way of his policy. The ideas he is proposing are generally good for the US and the world. The recent business with sanctions and Russia is definitely a mistake. His comments about Hezbollah, are really just means of criticizing Obama, which he loves to do.

heydad

Your right he doesn’t really know what he is talking about just anything to make a partisans snap. The reality is Lebanese army is fighting with Hezbollah not against.
Trump is just all over the place and is bound to upset the majority of people paying attention. The only ones that still agree with him are so invested they cant turn back else look foolish.
By the way, I cant find any politicians I can agree with but I am happy to hear about Donald ending support to jihadist in Syria. Now Trump might get a call from Israel to step it up again with some tomahawks but for now it looks good. Constant battle between Donald and Trump, the two faced president. But your right his two faces are proving to help out the overall world.

Barba_Papa

Thing is though, with Hillary you just knew that relations with Russia would get worse, support to Jihadis would be increased and WWIII be around the corner. With Trump you at least had the chance that it wouldn’t.

Of course he is a Republican president with a Republican dominated congress. And lets face it, Republicans are even more batshit insane neocons then the Democrats. It was the Republicans which gave us the gift of the Iraq invasion. The gift that keeps on giving. So yeah, even if Trump wanted to improve things, his entire party most certainly would not.

Naw man he is a genius playing like 47 Dimensional chess and the peons (us) are to dumb to realize his master strategy.

MeMadMax

I dunno man, trump came out yesterday and said assad was gassing people again and will be punished(again)…

This guy is either high or officially part of the israeli deep state(or doesn’t care or… a little of all of the above)…

And I had such high hopes too…

He only says this to Saad Hariri because he is part of the March 14 alliance. Lebanon is divided between March 8 alliance and March 14 alliance. During the Ceder revolt of 2005, March 8 alliance groups supported Syrian troops in Lebanon, and March 14 rejected them. Eventually, Syria withdrew, as their goals had been met, and Israel was expelled in 2000.

Living up to March 14’s anti-Syrian name, Saad Hariri is wanted by Syria for assisting FSA groups. He is also accused of stealing funds from Lebanons reconstruction plan.

In a 1976 diplomatic cable released by WikiLeaks, a US diplomat stated “if I got nothing else from my meeting with Frangie, Chamoun and Gemayel, it is their clear, unequivocal and unmistakable belief that their principal hope for saving Christian necks is Syria. They sound like Assad is the latest incarnation of the Crusaders.”[5]
And the first Assad was a much fiercer leader, and despite this he known as savior to Lebanese Christians. True Secularism

This is a bit random but puts things into contex

heydad

With Syria withdraw came Israeli invasion a year later. You might have meant to say 2006 rather than 2000 but either way, Don’t stop history at a point that suits well.

True.

giulio

This is very laughable since Saad al-Hariri is there because Hizbollah agreed with that

Putin's baby

this clown trump, like all yanks, has 2 faces, just they can’t tell when they are talking with their asshole or their mouth..

RichardD

He said nice things about Israel, and then didn’t move the embassy, told them to stop building settlements and restarted the peace process. Which is a big reason why the Jew cabal is trying to get him out of office.

john McNally

The reason for this is Trump is 100% behind Israel.

MeMadMax

Dude, is this guy serious???

Bio_ Hazard

Hezbollah is part of the Lebanese government and part of the March 8 coalition which the Lebanese president is also part of, if trump thinks Lebanon is going to do something to Hezbollah, he got another think coming. Hell even the Lebanese army has a good relationship with Hezbollah.

Americans cant open their stupid mouth without lies pouring out.
