Trump Cautions About Suicidal US Foreign Policy

“More than anything else, I think we could end up in World War III,” Trump warned.

Written by Drago Bosnic, independent geopolitical and military analyst

On September 27, former US President Donald Trump appeared on the “Cats at Night Show” and expressed concern for the way the United States has been conducting its foreign policy under the troubled Biden administration. Trump stated that his “biggest worry” is where geopolitical tensions over Ukraine and Taiwan may be headed, adding that he thought “we could end up in World War III” and that the conflict would be a (thermo)nuclear one. When asked what was Trump’s chief concerns and what “kept him up at night,” this was his response:

“More than anything else, I think we could end up in World War III.”

Trump stated that World War III could be sparked by “all of the horrible things that took place in Ukraine,” further adding that it “looks like it’s going to happen in China with Taiwan… …you see what’s going on over there.”

Various US delegations have visited China’s breakaway island province and signed multiple deals, including huge weapons acquisition contracts, despite Beijing’s clear warnings not to do so. This has triggered a massive escalation and what is probably the worst time in Sino-American relations in decades. Although Donald Trump himself holds a lot of responsibility for this, his approach was more geoeconomic and less geopolitical. The Trump administration put a lot of emphasis on the economy, trying to compete with China in terms of production, tariffs, technological rivalry, etc. The trade war with China during Trump’s presidency certainly had a negative influence on the global economy. However, it surely is an acceptable alternative to war between nuclear-armed superpowers.

During the interview, former US President also commented on Putin’s remarks and the threat of a possible nuclear war between Russia and the political West.

“I think we’re at the most dangerous time maybe in many, many years — maybe ever — because of the power of nuclear,” Trump stated. “For a major nation that’s equal with us on nuclear power to be throwing around the word cavalierly, like nuclear, is a very bad time. A very bad time for this country and a very bad and a very dangerous time for the world,” he added.

Donald Trump again reiterated his stance that if he were still the President of the United States, “Putin would not have ordered his troops into Ukraine.”

“I got along with him very well. I spoke to him. I understood him,” he said. “He understood me, probably. But I understood him well, and he would have never done it.”

Trump has been claiming this for years before he even met Vladimir Putin. He claimed that he would “go along well” with Russia’s leader and to a large extent, he was right. Trump and Putin have had a cordial relationship while the former was in the White House. As previously mentioned, during his presidency, Donald Trump was focused on the economy. He never considered Russia an economic rival and was well aware of the Eurasian giant’s massive military power, particularly its strategic arm, deciding to avoid any unnecessary escalation with Moscow. Trump was severely criticized for this, as his foreign policy approach also included trying to de-escalate with Russia in Ukraine, which angered many in the US establishment, as they had a vested interest in keeping close ties with the Kiev regime.

Although Trump’s stance in this regard also had to do with the internal political rivalry in the US, as the Democratic Party was unequivocal in its support for the Neo-Nazi junta, while his own Republican Party was much more divided on the issue, he still realized the dangerous implications of disregarding Moscow’s basic security concerns. He also tried to focus on economic competition with China and (to a certain extent) the European Union. Although this resulted in a significant deterioration in US relations with both Beijing and Brussels, it was still nowhere near the escalation we have nowadays. Trump had enough geopolitical wisdom to realize that pushing Russia and China too close together would be a major challenge for the US, which is why he tried compartmentalizing the US foreign policy.

Although Trump’s track record isn’t perfect, in comparison to other administrations in recent US history (particularly the current one), his realpolitik approach proved to be the only sustainable one in the long run.  By focusing on the economy, Donald Trump managed to reduce tensions in terms of possible direct confrontation with nuclear-armed superpowers such as Russia and China. And while Beijing was always frustrated by his anti-Chinese policies and regular Sinophobic rhetoric, to say nothing of the trade war Trump launched in order to curb China’s blistering economic growth, it’s clear that the Asian giant would much prefer to deal with that rather than having to contemplate nuclear confrontation over the Biden administration’s Taiwan escalation.

So finally someone gives Trump credit for being the obvious best choice for US President. Better late than never.

The best choice isn’t saying much given our choices.

It’s like picking between testicular cancer or lung cancer.

Considering these two options, the added nuclear war risk could have its advantage. At least, if you died of the impact of the weapon and not slowly of the radiation or the other resulting effects.

Trump’s hindsight is great, but when he was the CIC, when did he ever mention what was happening in Ukr? When did he ever mention labs, Nazis, the Donbass slaughter, Nato encroachment? The only thing that he kept front and center, rightfully, was the Biden family criminal antics, but never tied them to the labs. Tie into this his preoccupation with Israel and Israeli oligarch money that put him in the WH and what he would actually have done is questionable. He could have tried to pre-empt the Ukr issue by pursuing the Minsk agreement, but he did nothing. In the end, he did nothing to prevent what came. That he went for the opportunity to bomb Syria, not once, but twice, on fake allegations, as well as the assassination of Soleimani, also speaks to his preoccupation with Israeli wishes. In the end, he could have done what was needed, at the very least, to show Russia’s predicament and concerns and avoided what has now occurred. In 2018 the Trump admin sanctioned Russia over fake issues as well. So, what Trump would have really done is questionable as well. Likely, his moves would have to have been approved by Israeli FP, as was all his moves in the middle east…such as his Israeli ‘normalization’ plan vis a vis Arab/Israeli relations and his decision to continue arms sales to KSA for their war on Yemen. His only foreign policy ‘successes’ were in relation to Israel…China, N Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, S American countries? Not so much, instead following the policy set by Obama and previous admins, sometimes doubling down, as with the Guaido ‘regime change’ attempt in Venezuela.

The father of the clot shot and operation warp speed talking about suicide. That’s rich.

Trump spent 4 years propping up Israel, antagonizing China, and illegally assassinating a well respected Iranian general who by all accounts was a voice of reason and stability in the ME.

And the most shocking part is that he was the best president in decades on foreign policy, so that says more about the rest than about him.

Well, at least he knew the difference between South and North Korea, unlike Joe Biden & Kamala Harris.

They are all Jew loving Zionist Traitors to the USA.

He only knew that Slovenia was not once part of Chechenslovenia because his wife explained it to him. Then he asked “but what happened to Yugoslovakia then?” At that point, she gave up and went shoe shopping.

Such is the quality of America’s native talent.

Confusing Czechs with Chechens can be very deadly, as many an American mercenary is finding out.

The breakup of Czechoslovakia was the only peaceful post ’91 secession in Europe, and it was peaceful only because the US had no direct interest in it and kept its long nose out of it. Everywhere the US showed an interest in the result, blood and guts soon followed.

It’s what will find its way into the European history books one day as the era of Pox Americana.

How many weapons did Trump give to Ukraine from 2016-2020?

War

US and UK have been killing 6 million of innocent peoples in the Middle East.

Vlad from Romania

How many in Serbia, too? And now in Ukraine and Russia… Those people would have never gone to war.

Clyde

The Ukrainians, such as they are, could never have fought a war with Russia without the US imperial prodding. What’s in it for Ukrotards in the long run?

Sufkut

The west supports Ukraine because they hate Russia, not because they love Ukraine. Pushing NATO to expand there is a nice opportunity for a proxy war that will weaken Russia. They don’t care about the costs in Ukrainian lives.

Sufkut

Trumps Israel policy was horrible, but when it comes to war I think I have to give him the benefit of the doubt. That is easy when the alternative is that horrible Hillary ‘we came, we saw, he died’ Clinton. She would probably have killed millions.

geoeconomics more an acceptable alternative? Are you forgetting the BRICS? Are you ignoring the fact that both China and Russia are moving towards a new financial architecture namely what was once the American System of fostering scientific and technological progress through national credit policies targeting infrastructure in energy, transport, and water projects? Trump can be factual and honest at times yet he is now controlled to a great extent by the neo con ideology.

If Russia and China were able to remain in peace the US would go down alone on its own degradation path.

Trump did allow himself to be mousetrapped into providing lethal aid to Ukraine via the whole “Ukrainegate” operation. Most of the rearmament and reorganization of the Ukrainian military, including merging its command and control with that of NATO, happened under his watch.

Obama was also a little reluctant to arm the Nazis, resisting (at least in public) Biden and Nuland’s requests to go beyond “non-lethal aid”. It goes to show that aggression toward Russia and China vital is to the interests of US imperialism, and the misgivings of political figureheads matter little in the long run.

The Biden “Administration” is completely neo-con controlled and hell bent on pursuing their “full spectrum domination” agenda. They honestly think that they can survive a nuclear war in their bunkers and emerge to world without pesky excess population. They don’t give a damn about anyone but themselves and have managed to this far with their agenda on the back of an incredibly stupid general population.

Suicidal policies? What, like warp speed bioweapon vaccines, insane levels of child abuse vaccines given without the child’s informed consent that have resulted in the worst childhood outcomes in health, development and academic achievement? The science fraud, the banking fraud, the media fraud? The toxic GMO foods, the poisoned water, the Patriot Act, Homeland security rapists and sodomites? Homeless camps that rival prison camps. What’s not suicidal about the USA foriegn or domestic policy since they went full NAZI after murdering JFK? Trump is such a bullshit masonic lodge patsy is beyond hilarious.

Trump appointed Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State because he wanted to make energy deals with Russia. Counties that trade goods usually don’t trade bombs, that’s the thinking of guys like Henry Kissinger, who Trump talked to for advice. Rex left in disgust when Congress sanctioned Russia and actually passed a sanction on Trump telling him directly that he could Not lift the sanctions. They Impeached him for asked Zelensky to look into Hunter/Burisma but more specifically for holding up arms heading to Ukraine, that were approved just before Obama left office. What a nice parting gift. People who claim that Trump gave offensive weapons to Ukraine are only partially correct. He did do it, but the weapons were in the pipeline from the previous administration and he had to be impeached to get him to do it.

Trump was better than the neo-cons or neo-liberals, he wasn’t an anti-interventionist but he did try to be a “Realist”. If you look at the Realist school of American Foreign policy you will see that it lines up fairly closely with what Trump tried to do while in office.

Pox Americana

Well, it’s Trump the Doofus that went on about cutting Russian gas to Europe, China and asking stupid questions like “someone please expalin why we can’t use tactical nukes.”

He and Pompeo and Bolton, the triumvirate of terror, did more than their part in setting and shitting on the stage for bonehead Biden and the democratic wing of the neoconnivers to pick up where they left off.

So now he’s getting nervous because the blowback might muss the blowhard’s combover?

Screw ’em all. They’re all putrid peas in a rancid pod.
