The Syrian Arab Army Tiger Forces and the Republican Guard have liberated the neighborhoods of Kanamat, Khassarat, Badr and Old Airport from ISIS terrorists in the city of Deir Ezzor. The advance followed the liberation of worker 1, worker 2 and Afri neighborhoods in the nearby area.
The rapid progress of government forces in the recent days shows that the ISIS defense is steadily collapsing in the city and the army has all chances to liberate it in coming weeks.

They’ll be permitted to evacuate soon, most likely given a choice between going to idlib to fight again or putting down weapons and turning into sleeper cells.
This has been the pattern, and the SAA has shown no sign of deviation.
It reduces civilian deaths, and ends the battle sooner so SAA troops can move on to the next battle. I don’t agree with it.
Sleeper cells are particularly dangerous.

Whats that place between Al Fourat unviersity and Cemetery where it says “empty”? There’s literally nothing there? Is there anywhere on the internet photos to be found of that “empty” place or is it some secret location?

The last updated data of Google Earth for this area shows the date 9/13/2016.
When you compare the aerial pics taken before 2013 with the newer ones, the amount of destruction Syria endured hits you hard.
2013 there was already fairly widespread destruction. I’d wish to see 2011-2018 ones next year.
Using Google Earth may help a bit. If I remember correctly, it has aerial pics from 2006 and later for this area, in which the university wasn’t built yet.
PS: I checked again. The earliest date is 12/31/2004. The main part of university is built sometime between Aug. 2006 and Mar. 2009.
If you can’t install google earth, give me the exact coordinates using Google Maps, plus the radius of the area which you need and I’ll try to upload the pics.
And no it’s not empty, looked closer trying to match exact location and I assume it’s this, is it some secret facility or something? I am not good at guessing but looks pretty amazing:
