It would appear that the Tigers have redeployed from advancing towards Deir Ezzor to advancing towards Sukhnah. And that the SAA is going for cutting off the huge ISIS East Hama sailliant. Tigers from the North, 5th Corps from the South.

I’m not sure if its smart, the SDF won’t be preoccupied with Raqqa forever, but I guess the SAA needs to shorten its defensive lines. Free up troops for other fronts. Like Idlib. Not to mention that there are some very useful north south roads in that area that could ease up logistics internally.

Wrong there about the Tiger forces redeploying to the area , The volunteer 5th Assault corps is securing from Soukhna , the Qalomoun Shield Forces are moving to secure that region from the north while the Tigers are still in Ma’adan other Tiger units have moved to support them there. The SAA is going to hunt down the ISIS pockets and clear them out since they popped up and exposed themselves. The SAA have repelled another attack by HTS in Aleppo which continues to violate the ceasefire agreement there, they have another offensive there with veteran forces securing more of the city region.

Damn Terra Cotta Woolpuller, you can read. Well done.
Perhaps you can answer my question,? Exactly who is this US led coalition I often read about ?

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They are mixed bag from about 80 countries the US led coalition you can google under the different operation names , but in Syria not all of the Coalition is supporting actions there and some are limited to refueling operations there. The forces involved in that region are a mixed from the french forces , Aussies, Brits, GCC,Israel ,and the US. The rest seem to stay in Iraq except for a Norwegian special ops unit near Al Tanf.

Operation Impact is run in the southern region of Iraq and is mostly medical support and training for policing and security for Military leaders in travelling in conflict areas, but has the Canadians running that one, the US runs Inherent Resolve and Enduring Freedom all these are supported by smaller ops located in various areas of Northern Iraq. The full list of members involved in each operation varies.

The CSOR is stationed at Operation Impact which consists of a brigade size of 875 troops with support, the typical recon combat expeditionary force or RECCE, the Canadian army is based on that make up in brigades Mechanized, Air support, and artillery Infantry. The US has 3 airborne regiments that are deployed in Iraq and Syria 82nd 101st, 103rd with marines and SeaBees or Construction Battalions along SEALS and Delta.

Thank you very much.

The SDF will be preoccupied with Raqqa for at least a couple of months, probably more. Also, there are obviously some behind the scenes deals between the SAA and the SDF to avoid … misunderstandings and not suffering extra losses trying to race each other.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The SDF say at least 4 months maybe even more that is a long time and they will need to evacuate the civilians. The deal is in regards to the current positions held by Kurdish and Arab Manbij units not loyal to the PYD. Which is causing issues within and why it is taking longer because of the politics involved.

The 3 liberated villages by the TF were done with landing operation behind enemy lines – . This is the first time SAA is doing such thing . https://twitter.com/leithfadel/status/896310839111815168

Clarification on the airborne landing was not the Tiger forces but coordinated by Suhliel and carried out by the special airborne division which landed 20 km behind the enemy and captured 21 km of desert. Leith should have read that article better and corrected the 12 km because it doesn’t make sense to go back wards and leave your drop zone undefended. Read the article covered by different reports and they said 21 km except Leith who switched the 1 and 2.

They should do it more!
