On Saturday, January 30, it is reported that the Syrian Army and the National Defense Forces continued their advance on the terrorists in the northern mountains of Latakia province after winning a series of fierce battles, capturing Mount Al-Rous, near the border with Turkey.

According to the report, full control over Mount Al-Rous will help the Syrian armed forces to capture the strategic town of Kansba- the most important base of the Jeish al-Fatah terrorist group in the province.

The Syrian Army backed by artillery units and Russian air power, pushed back the militant groups from the strategic town of Ta’ouma to infiltrate the enemy’s defense lines.
