Terrorista attacked a checpoint west of the city of Arish in Egypt’s North Sinai, the country’s interior ministry said on June 5.
According to the ministry, 8 security personnel were killed in the firefight with the terrorists. The ministry added that 5 terrorists were also eliminated.
Other Egyptian sources report that the death toll from the attack may be even higher than the number provided by the interior ministry. According to these reports, 15 security personnel, including an offier, were killed.
