Taliban fighters captured two military bases and nine checkpoints of the Afghan Army and Police in a successful coordinated attack in the Almar district of the northern province of Faryab, the Taliban news agency Voice of Jihad reported on April 27.

According to the news agency, Taliban fighters captured loads of weapons including two US-made armored vehicles.

Mohammad Saleh Saleh, the governor of Almar district, acknowledged that nine Afghan policeman had been killed and fifteen others were injured in the Taliban attack on the district, according to the Afghan TOLO TV.

Abdul Karim Yourish spokesman for Faryab Police said that Afghan policemen had killed eleven members of the Taliban during the clashes in Almar, including “Mohammad Amin” the movement’s field commander. However, Yourish didn’t clarify if the attack had been fully repelled.

The Voice of Jihad said that the attack is a part of the Taliban’s spring offensive, codenamed “Operation al-Khandagh.”  The offensive was launched on April 25. According to the Taliban, it is a response to Washington’s decision to increase the US presence in the war-torn country.

So far the Afghan Army has successfully contained the Taliban offensive in most Afghan provinces. However, the Taliban conducted some successful attacks in Nangarhar province on April 26.

Kick the U.S. Out of Afghanistan…Take away the American Heroin-Trade…the end of The Afghan-Connection

You can call me Al

10-1, Trump gives one of his insane speeches and sends more troops (probably not Yanks), let me guess the French poodle will be the first to offer the services of their troops.

Well done heroes. Taliban making history. Taliban name should be in the Guinness World Records that they have defeated Americans (US).

Ewan

Fck Ashraf Ghani. He is a US poodle. No respectable honourable nation accepts the leaders that imperial colonial conquerors impose upon them. Why should the proud Afghan people? The Taliban are the only representatives of the Afghan people. They have been maligned in the MSM in accordance with US dictats. They alone have fought and defeated the US dogs while Ghani and his predecessors were kissing US butt.

Rob

Ashraf Ghani is an elected president. He representing all Pushtoons in the world. He has doctorate qualification. It is not so easy to obtain PhD qualification. If Afghanistan and particularly Taliban loose Ashraf Ghani then this will be a great lose of all Pushtoon world. US and Israel don’t like Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdulla due to their education. They want corrupt leadership on Afghanistan that can listen to foreign powers.

Barba_Papa

The Taliban are no different then ISIS, or Green Daesh. Just because they fight the Americans instead of for the Americans doesn’t make them any less headchoppers then their Syrian counterparts. The enemy of my enemy is my enemy’s enemy. Nothing more, nothing less.

Rob

Any forces liberating their home lands with full devotion from foreign butchers Israel, US, UK and France are true heroes and their sacrifices will never be ignored.

Barba_Papa

Again, just because the Taliban fights the US does not make them heroes. Ideologically they’re the same as Al Qaida, whom they played gracious hosts to prior to 9-11.

Rob

Do you know Taliban? They are not suicide bombers. They are not head choppers. The right resolution Article 51 of the UN charter resolution – 3324 from 29th November 1978 and the General Assembly resolution 3246 from 29th November 1974 reaffirm the legitimacy of the people struggle for the liberation from colonial and foreign domination and alien subjugation by all available means including arm struggle. So UN resolution allow Taliban to do struggle against foreign forces. They are not against Afghanistan government.

Barba_Papa

Of course they’re headchoppers. They did mass executions in former football stadiums when they were in power. They’re the ideological cousins of Al Qaida. Whom we cheer as they get killed by Russian bombs in Syria.

Most people here don’t like the US government and oppose its policies, me included. The Taliban fight the US. That does not make them ideological cousins to us. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend. They’re just Jihadis fighting a different enemy.
