Mr Sergey Rudskoy, the Lt. General of the Russian Staff, said that the Islamic State terrorists organization is preparing to seize the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zour which is the administrative center of the Deir ez-Zour province.

Deir ez-Zour got encircled long ago by the Islamic State terrorists and its garrison has been repelling their attacks since then. The Syrian “Stalingrad” got its name thanks to
the remaining soldiers who will fight to the last man.

Mr Sergey Rudskoy also said that the military leaders of the Islamic State had sent 2,000 additional terrorists equipped with all the required weapons to the suburbs of Syrian city Deir ez-Zour.

He explained the terrorists’ motives in one short paragraph: “The Islamic State terrorists organization has lost the initiative in the west part of Syria. The Syrian Arab Army has liberated 28 villages in the Latakia Governorate including Alam ar-Rabiyah which is the strategically important city for the Syrian Arab Army’s advance. By losing the 28 villages and Alam ar-Rabiyah the Islamic State terrorists concentrated their attacks on surrounded Deir ez-Zour.”

The Russian High Command decided to act immediately. According to Mr Rudskoy, the long-range TU-23M3 bombers, which took off from Russia, in just two days carried out 18 flying missions in which they pounded the positions of the Islamic State terrorists around Deir ez-Zour.

Take a look at how the Russian TU-22M3 bombers prepare and take off to strike the terrorists’ positions around Deir ez-Zour.

In the past three days the Russian Air Force bombarded 484 military facilities belonging to the Islamic State terrorists organization and also to other terrorists organizations which have been operating in Syria.
