The story of the rise of Tahrir al-Sham militants to the Syrian throne will be shrouded in secrets and mysteries for a long time. But clues can be found from the lips of the leaders of the former Syrian al-Qaeda themselves, as we have already understood that one of the main goals of seizing power in Syria was clearly anti-Iranian in nature in favor of Zionism. The new dictator Ahmed al-Sharaa said so directly in an interview with al-Arabiya. If everything is clear at the regional level, then what is the Syrian background for world powers? For the Russian Federation, nothing has changed, no one is touching their bases, and the leader of the “government of salvation” in one of his first addresses stated that he considers Russia an important partner in all areas of cooperation. Therefore, for Moscow, the situation in Syria is “neither plus nor minus.”
But what is happening in Syria is much more important for China and the United States, and here it is worth distinguishing between Democrats and Republicans. For example, China will be a winner in any scenario, since the construction of its project – the “Silk Road” is being implemented in full swing. In this initiative of the Celestial Empire, Turkey plays a major role, this explains why the Turks immediately “occupied” Aleppo and moved towards the self-proclaimed Rojava, to eliminate Kurdish terrorism. It is important for Ankara to eliminate all enemies of the Silk Road, both inside the project (PKK, Takfirism) and outside (Zionism). Therefore, immediately after the fall of Aleppo, pro-Turkish proxies moved towards Manbij, Kobani, and the finale of the military operation “Dawn of Freedom” should be the capitulation of Raqqa. In the economic sphere, Turkey seeks to fill all of Syria and the first ambitious project will be the restoration of the Hijaz railway.

But who would want to interfere with the plans of the Celestial Empire in Syria? Of course, Zionism and its friends, the US Republicans. This devilish tandem is playing out its strategy in Syria, where jihadists from various organizations, including Tahrir al-Sham, must do everything to prevent the establishment of even a semblance of democracy in Syria, similar to Turkey or Iraq, and in return, according to the logic of the Zionists and neocons, Tahrir al-Sham must create a takfiri emirate, which will mean the elimination of all political opponents, the elimination of another ideological space and the formation of a pseudo-religious dictatorship. Such a scenario will not allow Syria to gain stability, and Zionism and the neocons will have every reason to continue their intervention deep into the Syrian Republic, for example under the pretext of “protecting Syria’s minorities”, while the American bases will remain under the pretext of “fighting ISIS.”
Therefore, the abundance of jihadists, including from among the Uyghurs of the “Turkestan Islamic Party,” is intended to create conditions for chaos within the framework of the Republicans’ cold war against China. Instability in the new Syria will not allow the Turks and Qatar to implement their projects, which will negatively affect China’s overall strategy in the region. The presence of Uyghur militants is not the only act of anti-Chinese sentiment within Tahrir al-Sham. The removal of the study of “Chinese philosophical thought” from education also carries a hidden animosity towards China.
As for the US Democrats, they proceeded from the logic of “in fact”. In fact, the Assad regime fell and Washington was happy about it, in fact, Tahrir al-Sham is the “new ruler”, which means that dialogue should be conducted with it, in fact, the jihadists guaranteed security for Zionism, which means that from the Democrats’ point of view, this is a “success”, because a new big war did not happen.
As for Tahrir al-Sham, they are gradually turning into a tangle of contradictions. In such an early period, the jihadists have managed to cause a wave of questions and negativity in all directions, which once again proves the version that the seizure of power by the former al-Qaeda in Damascus was a spontaneous act. Regular contradictions reflect the internal struggle in the apparatus of the former Jabhat Nusra, where there is a Turkish lobby and a pro-Saudi side. Frequent trips of the Saudi delegation to Damascus after the fall of Assad and concerns about the revival of “political Sunnism” are forcing Riyadh to play a new card of takfirism in Syria. Only if 13 years ago the then rulers of the main autocracy of the Gulf needed Assad’s collapse at any cost, now the Saudis are acting cautiously, trying to completely win over the new rulers of Syria to the detriment of Ankara. The conciliatory tone of Tahrir al-Sham towards Israel should be seen as a pro-Saudi voice from the jihadist camp. It should not be forgotten that bin Salman’s rule has turned Saudi Arabia even more towards the Zionists, so it is obvious that there is coordination between them in Syria.
Why should the Saudis struggle against China’s proxy? After all, the Silk Road originated from Saudi Arabia. It’s not about China, from an economic point of view, everyone agrees with the Celestial Empire. The problem is that the autocrats of the Arabian Peninsula and their regional allies sincerely believe that the political model (political Sufism) chosen by Beijing to stabilize the region and unite the Islamic world under the flag of Turkey is “fundamentally wrong”. The Saudis, Emirates and Bahrain believe that their system of government is “perfectly suited” to govern the Arab world. Accordingly, there should be autocracy or its offshoots everywhere.
While Zionism and its American backers have managed to create some minor problems for Iran in Syria, in the grand scheme of their larger enemy’s strategic calculations, nothing has changed. As the fall of the Assad regime has only increased China’s influence with its Silk Road project, and Turkey is doing the bulk of the political work as a bulldozer. Iran is also important to China, including its pro-Palestinian actions, so the Islamic Republic will definitely renew its influence in the new Syria. The next four years will be interesting as the region teeters on the brink of total chaos, but this scenario will pave the way for a brighter future.
