Syrian President Bashar al-Assad described US-backed forces in eastern Syria as “traitors” during a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin on December 18.
The US-led international coalition, particularly Washington, has given a military assistance and various supplies to the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Thanks to the US military support, the SDF had seized a notable part of eastern Syria, including the cities of Raqqa and Manbij.
Assad received a Russian government delegation headed by Rogozin in Damascus. He said that the victory over terrorists “has created conditions for accelerating the process of restoring the Syrian economy.”
“This visit may also help us boost cooperation in other fields, which were not mentioned earlier, when we determined the priorities of our economic relations,” he said.
It is a bit weird that Assad has described end 2016-early 2017, the fight of SDF vs IS as “legal”, yesterday/today handed over Kusham ne of DeZ to SDF and at the same times describes them as “traitors”?
Seems like he really does not know either what he is doing or does not know what he is saying.
Keep trolling and keep watching those who pray “Assad must go” pass (where’s that French prez? Where’s Obama?) by while Assad is still there. That’s when the reachest countries of this planet tryed very hard to get him down. I can feel your pain buddy but keep on trolling (shekels don’t smell – is that how you think guys?)
All are quotes from SF over the last year.
If I troll, then SF is trolling.
Your trolling: “Seems like he really does not know either what he is doing or does not know what he is saying.”(c) Do not pretend that you didin’t understand what I was talking about :)
Dutch, the Kurds are only a tool of a transnational criminal cabal by choice. Of course any force opposing the enemies of Syria are in a way welcomed to distract or weaken them. That does not make a friend in deed outside of reality. Kurd powers to be (although I suspect a pro Syrian nation faction has made agreements with Russia/Syrian alliance) of the moment are not friends of the state of Syria and the wheat will have to be separated from the shaft.
Sometimes I wonder if it is worth the efforts to educate or expect a true fact rebuttal from you but here goes……
According to the South African journalist Khareen Pech, these interlocked directorship and companies are part of a labyrinth of networks that profit off insecurity and war. In this context, an earlier merger deal between Genel Enerji and Heritage Oil, another English Channel-based offshore company founded by mercenaries connected to the British military, that collapsed in 2009 should be examined with scrutiny.
Explaining about Heritage Oil and Gas, Pech states thus: «In London, a similar web of companies can be found at the Heritage Oil and Branch Energy offices at Plaza 107. Over fifteen companies operate from this suite, share the same telephone numbers and the same UK-based directors and personnel. This clandestine approach to business enables EO and its British principals to operate and benefit from a hidden empire of corporate and military companies».
Notice: The dates covered here go back minimum to 2011 at least and are valid up to 2015 and the Russian Turkish collaboration on saving the President of Turkey from assassination by NATO (friends?) and the downing of the Russian fighter jet over Syria.
The oil that Turkey is selling for the ISIL is being camouflaged with the oil that the Kurdistan Regional Government is illegally selling from Iraq. In fact, the ISIL has been transporting stolen Syrian oil into Iraq’s Ninawa Governorate and then from close proximity to the city of Mosul smuggling the oil into Turkey, where it is sent to Ceyhan for re-export. The Turkish military deployment in the Mosul District and its plans to establish a permanent military base are meant to protect these oil routes and dually maintain the flow of illegally sold Iraqi oil by the Kurdistan Regional Government and to secure the stolen Syrian and Iraqi oil taken by the ISIL.
For the real meat of the actors read here.

Did Russia collaborate in saving Russia from being assasinated ?
A new insight into history then. Proud of you. A real reporting first. Well done.
My statement is not a new insight and is well known since September 2016. “Russian Turkish collaboration on saving the President of Turkey from assassination by NATO”. Are we having trouble again with English composition and comprehension?
The rise, fall, and return of Turkey’s Eurasianists
President Putin has been using Dugin as an emissary to the Turkish elite since Dugin accompanied Putin on an official visit in 2004. His mission was to build Russia’s network of influence to pull Turkey away from the West. This was based on his core idea that a “new Eurasian empire will be constructed on the fundamental principle of the common enemy: the rejection of Atlanticism, strategic control [over] the USA, and the refusal to allow neo-liberal values to dominate us.”
Citing diplomatic sources in Ankara – Russia helped prevent a successful military coup d’état in Turkey by intercepting encrypted messages and warning President Erdogan of the incoming attack on his government just hours before the rebel operation got underway.
Intelligence about the planned coup was gathered by the Russian military units in the region. It is believed that officers at the Russian Hmeimim Air Base in northern Syria, which houses modern intercept systems, were able to capture and analyze encrypted radio messages, revealing the plans of the Turkish military to topple the government and capture or kill President Erdogan.
The heads up from Russia gave the Turkish leader just enough time to prepare and adequately respond, evacuating his hotel at the Marmaris resort right before several military helicopters arrived at the scene to capture or assassinate him.
All this says is that as per 2011 the Assad regime will kill, overrun, or maim anyone who gets in their way making them unfit for Syria’s future The Russians would do well to head for the door and let the Assad regime areas be absorbed into one undivided Syrian made up of Federal States or provinces which is what the Russians essentially supported however Assad does not; as he tries to murder and starve his way to victory
Why should the Syrian state leadership accept a foreign power – the US – attempting to forcibly fragment their nation state so that the US can achieve full regional dominance?
The SDF/YPG/YPJ is not taking about breaking up Syria, nor are the Russians or Americans . An Actual Federal System for all Syrians under one flag, post Assad regime.
Face it “Bob Al Bab:, your Assad regime is on the way out, and only they don’t see it, yet the Syrian people do as the SDF/YPG/YPJ just gets larger and larger as more Syrians see a real inclusive future, free of Assad (as do the Russians & Americans realistically)
They are not my ‘regime’. That childish accusation aside, the SDF does not keep getting bigger. Rather it is a military faction that is both grossly overstretched and fundamentally based on a Kurdish minority force, that has has US-SOF and Marine artillery as its real firepower and directing its southward expansion. The SDF are not even remotely an inclusive or realistic national Syrian political option – they are a Kurdish minority military faction that are in fact beholden to the PKK political leadership – as amply illustrated by the Ocalan PKK flags hung up around Raqqa after the ISIS withdrawal who were bused out of city.
Ocalan is a philosophy to the SDF/YPG/YPJ not a person or a Turkish PKK movement, and although I dont relate that well to socialism, when you have Assad, Erdogan, other crazies, oppression in Iraq transitionally, more in Iran
then the whole equality part is pretty attractive to Syrians 2011 onward as a path to peace, and again is not about the PKK or conflict in Turkey
Who has a better alternative inclusive to all regionally? Look at the history people in all four countries have endured and sudden Ocalan’s general views in 2017 look pretty inclusive and attractive . The will “Syrianize it” and make it their own
Lol a lands with multi ethnicity, culture, and believe to be federalized in the environment where there’s a lot of foreign country interest stalking them and a lot of war grade weapons circulating around. What could possibly go wrong ?
I’d want to see the united state have their radical group given assault riffles, AT missiles, Mortars, Armored vehicles, All kinds of Artillery pieces and it’s assortment and if it works like you envision it then you’re right. Maybe European too should be federalized.
Point.
Despite given self governing status the Kurd in the end unilaterally made the Independence Referendum not to mention they grab more lands into their ‘Independent Country’ in times of crisis no less. Were they honorable ? Well IMO they’re just greedy self centered opportunists.
Anatomy with in a Federal system in an undivided Syria, not independence
If you cannot get the basics right, you have little chance at anything else
KRG is self governing in undivided Iraq. See what happen when the Iraq position weakened ?
Like i said sellouts at worst and fence sitters at best. First and foremost they have to free themselves to make decision without US or Israel hands.
Nope – it make perfect sense when understand that previously Syrian state assisted organizing the Kurds to fight against ISIS elements in central north – only to witness north east Kurds subsequently fully align themselves with US and hand over Syrian state territory and infrastructure assets to a foreign US military occupation – ie Tabbqa Dam and Omar Oil Fields.
The solution is simple. Keep the Kurds landlocked and the oil pipeline tap turned off until they understand that they should support the country in which they live and not that of the US, located thousands of miles away, which only sees them as a useful tool and cannon fodder.
The solution is simple
Poor Kurdish should receive the right to form their own Country.
They were let down by the First World several times.
They got a pretty good deal from Syria, local rule, virtual independence. Then the double crossed Syria, in exchange for the yankee dollar, now they get nothing.
They have no right to steal the country of the Syrians.
And in their Area in Turkey they should first set things right and give back the big areas they stole from the Armenian Christians whom they murdered during the Armenian genocide .
“Poor Kurdish should receive the right to form their own Country”
They should have their own country located in the US, maybe they could have a part of Washington DC; otherwise, they could abide by the laws of Syria.
Free Kurdish if they free Palestine, Indian nation, Gibraltar, Falkland, Hawaii, Aborigines, Korea, Okinawa etc etc.
There are too few kurds on Syria to have a country. There are more in Iraq and they failed at it lol
The last time they were offered a country of their own, they slaughtered Armenian Christians. They admit to this and they did the “dirty work” of the ottomans!
Giving Kurds land would be like giving Nazi Germany land after killing 6 million jews!
U cant argue with this, the Kurds admitted they committed genocide as a trade off for land (which they got within turkey).
“Poor Kurdish”! What about Armenia?
You’re an idiot!
Kurds support the same people who sold Sadam hussein Chemical Weapons and then used it against them!
Kurds are a lost cause!
Get rid of the kurds. Give them independance north east of Syria. It’s the best strategy.
I like the first half of your post.
If you give them independence what do you think Turkey would do?
Who cares what Turkey think ?
Only turks.
Well it’s sadly important cause it might spark another war on Syrian Soil bro but this time to the only border area the government has no control over…and when that happens I’d want to know how to deal with that or do you just let them kill each other IDK XD
If the Kurds become independent, then they become vassals of Israel just like Azerbaijan.
They do what they want. If they like to be dogs who cares ?
They are not asking for Independence, more something akin to State or Provincial Federal Autonomy in an undivided Syria. Even the Russians have floated that idea also
Make too much sense?
What about the native inhabitants? You sound how like a Zionist colonist!
Among all this unproductive rethorics, it can happily be reported that almost 15.000 families, say some 25% of total, have returned to Raqqah and that the number of schools is increasing rapidly. Children getting their education restarted, getting out of refugee camps, a good ending to a for them very bad year(s).
They never would have been displaced in the first place if the evil Jew cult didn’t target Syria for regime change and partition with their sock puppet terrorists.
stupid man.
sad really.
More lies and evasion from a Jew pedophile rape cult supporter afraid to man up and debate the issues.
Raqqa City is 90% destroyed Dutch . Refuges may be returning to the surrounding areas but it will take months to de mine Raqqa city and clear unexploded munitions, possibly years as building works will be hampered by the risks and that’s even if the money is available.
Perhaps the Dutch Government will assist :)
https://qz.com/1104874/a-visual-tour-of-the-price-raqqa-paid-for-its-freedom-from-isil/
Remember Aleppo, right?
That’s already being Rebuilt though? lol XD guess you don’t keep up with the times and by Aleppo you mean Eastern Aleppo the one held by your rebel friends right? Because the government side had sustained little damage compared to it
Well, Dutch cities took years to being rebuild after wwII. Lack of construction materials, lack of money. It took a whole decade to reconstruct, even a bit longer as the Netherlands went through the decolonisation process too, which resulted of an influx of refugees at the same time.
That’s fucking WW2 pretty sure methods today are more advanced in reconstruction if you hadn’t had your head up your ass this whole time you’d know how lucrative this is going to be for Russian construction companies when the war is over the government held areas sustained little damage while opposition sides killed each other over areas they already control Idlib being that prime example
Actually many were dismayed at their homes being wantonly destroyed with no recompense. I can accept that those living under a brutal regime would consider it the price of a more normal existence.
Do you speak on behalf of the many Arabs of Raqqa whose properties where flattened by US Marine artillery mass barrages?
The artillery barrages were so heavy and destructive to force ISIS hardliners to negotiate leaving, and be bused out of city into Deir Ezzore Province, so that SDF did not have to fight in the city centre.
There have indeed been interviews by reporters among the refugees. Most were considering the fight against IS, having had killed relatives, underwent suppression, even into daily lfe, more important than the temporary destruction of property.
Patterns like this can be seen in any civil war. Any war including occupation.
You completely failed to directly address the question – do you in any way speak on behalf of Syrian Arabs from Raqqa and their concerns? No, you do not.
The almost 15.000 families have returned to Raqqah city itself. To the three quarters that have been released as (mostly) demined (read Anha). So I am happy to report you are wrong.
Living in the ruins suppose.
What if U.S. backed forces tried to partition your country? Would that be a good thing?
15000 is a very small number compared to the hundreds of thousands that returned to other “liberated” cities. There is s probably a reason for that.
Kurds are are loose coalition of tribes who follow a powerful family. They are 2% of the population who control 20% of the land and 40% of the oil. Their fight isn’t about autonomy it’s about power, stealing oil and threatening Damascus. Ditto for their U.S. backers.
The only solution regarding Syrian Kurd problem is to remove their citizenship and ask them to move back to Turkey where they came from. In any other arrangement they will remain an eternal 5th column willing to sell Syria out on a moment’s notice.
Indeed, they have no right to invade and colonise Syria. Anyway most of those Kurds fighting for the US imperialism are from other Countries .
ya les queda poco a esos perros sirvientes de los yanquis
Hands off from Assad, killers from usa! Only Syrian citizens to decide what will with Assad.OSN ltd USA !

It sounds to me like Assad is becoming a bit too confident and showing his ugly side.
Many Kurds died fighting ISIS. So why not stress the positive and compliment them for that? And then tell them that time has come to reunite the country?
He’s not wrong to say they’re a traitor. Can they reconcile without US negotiated or imposed terms ? They couldn’t.
Assad have Syrian reconciliation programs the other does not.
Assad is doing exactly what the US wants: creating hostility and fear among the Kurds so that they will keep their distance from Assad and not reintegrate into the country.
Look what happened with South Ossetia. It is close to Georgia’s two biggest cities and hours away from any Russian city as there is the Caucasus in between. And with less than 50,000 inhabitants it doesn’t have much services itself. So if that was the only consideration every South Ossetian would prefer re-integration with Georgia.
Unfortunately Georgia gave its “nationalists” a free hand to demonize Ossetians (many of whom only arrived in the 19th century) as foreign intruders without rights. It blocked returns of Ossetians who had been expelled from areas in Georgia outside South Ossetia. And it took many measures to make life hard for the Ossetians in South Ossetia. All this was supported by the US that wants to create trouble between Russia and its neighbors.
This was the context that led to official independence declaration of South Ossetia. In Syria that scenario is less likely. But they did keep Iraqi Kurdistan for many years in a semi-independent state and they would like to repeat that game in Syria.
How many are real Syrian kurds ? How many foreign ? How many IS and terrorist affiliated incorporated into their forces ? What about the extremist ? They’re not the type that can pledge their honor to an agreement. They’re a traitor at worst and a fence sitters at best. Not the best kind you would want included in your country especially when there’s a criminal syndicate aiming at your lands.
that is what happened to traitors supported by zionists who only use and refuse
BETTER KURDS THEN THIS DOG ASSAD
These Kurds are giving away Syrian state territory and assets to a foreign occupying power – US military had thirteen illegal bases on Syrian Kurd controlled territory and occupy the major Tabbqa Dam hydro-electric and irrigation asset and the Omar Oil Fields resources.
better kurds … in the hell.
Bullshit!
These are words for stupid allbelievers. In behind Assad sells out the country:
