The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies continues their slow advance on ISIS positions in the al-Safa area in the al-Suwayda-Rif Dimashq desert. The SAA reportedly ambushed at least two groups of ISIS members killing six terrorists and destroying a vehicle.

Nonetheless, most of the area remains in the hands of ISIS. At least 15 SAA troops have been killed in the clashes there.

A unit of the Syrian Air Force Intelligence Directorate (SAFID) cracked down an ISIS cell in the village of al-Harrah in western Daraa detaining. According to reports, five suspects were detained, at least one SAFID servicemember was killed and an unknown number of terrorist was eliminated during the operation.

In western Aleppo, Nour al-Din al-Zenki arrested several members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) accusing them of carrying out several attacks in the town of Darat Izza. Members of the group also captures several Hayat Tahrir al-Sham positions at the al-Shikh Barakat mount. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham responded by deploying additional reinforcements in the area.

Some sources speculated that a new round of tensions between various militant groups in Idlib and western Aleppo has been caused by the recent Turkish-Russian agreement to impose a demilitarized zone there.

During a House Armed Services Committee subcommittee hearing on September 26, Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Robert Karem accused the Assad government and Russia of turning Idlib into the terrorist stronghold in Syria.

“There is no dispute that Idlib has become a hornet’s nest of multiple terrorist organizations. Regrettably, this is the product of the Russian and Regime approach to consolidating control on the ground in Syria. They have used de-escalation zones and local negotiated deals to purge areas in Syria and used Idlib as a dumping ground. And they have allowed the free transit of the worst terrorists to go to Idlib,” he stated hinting that the Pentagon’s official attitude is that efforts of the Syrian-Iranian-Russian alliance are allegedly leading to the growth of the terrorist threat in the war torn country.

On September 27, speaking at the UN General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again stated that Israel is adamant in its will to act in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon in order to deter what he described as “Iran’s aggression”.

He also made new allegations on Iran’s nuclear program claiming that there is a secret “atomic warehouse” near Tehran, which is capable of containing as much as 300 tons of “nuclear-related material.”

“Today I am disclosing for the first time that Iran has another secret facility in Tehran, a secret atomic warehouse for storing massive amounts of equipment and material for Iran’s secret nuclear weapons program,” Netanyahu stated adding that the data had been allegedly obtained as a result Israeli forces’ raid on Iran’s alleged “nuclear atomic archive”. A part of this data was presented by Netanyahu in April 2018 with similar claims that Iran has not abandoned its nuclear weapons ambitions.

Meanwhile, the US has renewed its efforts to create the so-called Arab NATO to confront the Iranian influence in the Middle East.

According to U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Gulf Affairs Tim Lenderking, the new entity will be entitled the Middle East Strategic Alliance and Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Egypt and Jordan would become the core of the bloc.

These developments show that the US-Israeli bloc is set continue its military, diplomatic and economic efforts in an attempt to reshape the current balance of power in the Middle East and to counter the growing Iranian influence.

Sounds a lot like “Iraq has WMD”. If Iran really DOES have a secret atomic programme, it’s up to the European states that still support the treaty to do the inspections and verify the facts. It’s not Israel’s automatic right to attack other states that they perceive to be a threat. The Yahoo is ramping up the arrogance and hubris. Perhaps he’s realised that the American Empire is in terminal decline and intends to go all out while the US still has some force-projection capability.

Jens Holm

I dont see USA in any terminal decline.

I see others raise because they systematicly work hard and make the cake bigger. I am very happy we dont see do many chinese and indians starve almost every year. Same goes for other countries or at least parts of them.

Its not up to european states to inspect A-programmes. Its a world comitty doing that. And as a person I trust none in thosre matters. All A and B bombs should made into energy in powerplants apart from radiation to hospitals and like that.

Many commentators and analysts are reporting the end of the American Empire. It’s not immediately apparent because there’s not a horde of Barbarians on the borders of the Empire as there was with the Romans. The destruction of the middle class, as has been well documented, leads to the evisceration of the tax base needed to maintain an Empire-sized military. Then the continued spending on the military rather than on maintaining and expanding the infrastructure of the US mainland leads to further decline in the economic engine of the USA. Thus, by a process of self-cannibalisation, the American empire has set in motion its own destruction.

How do you see the USA continuing to thrive? The US dollar, as the world’s reserve currency, will be discarded and replaced. What can the US do to prevent that from happening? Threats, economic sanctions and direct military action can only prolong the process in the short-term. Is there anything that the American Empire can do to prevent India or China (or both) becoming the next Empire sometime in the next 50 years?

I certainly support your thinking on nuclear weapons. They can never be used, so should be dismantled by all parties. However, the threats and aggression of the US can only currently be countered by acquiring nuclear weapon capability, as North Korea has demonstrated. The only way to ensure the survival of a Sovereign State is either to submit to the hegemony of the USA or to acquire nuclear weapons. Surely Iran has taken note of that, and the best way to ensure that they don’t decide to follow suit is to ensure that the very real existential threats posed by the USA and Israel are discontinued. How to ensure that both Israel and Iran can live peacefully and thrive is the puzzle that has to be solved.

Invanare

you are but a naive swede being feed the “socialdemocratic” nonsense since kindergarten.

Sweden is a US vassal client state. And swedes are unfortunately going to be interbred into nonexistence in 25-30 years

Icarus Tanović

Is that sci-fi? Hahahaha?

Expo Marker

This isn’t the first time Israel has stood in front of the United Nations and outright lied about Iranian nuclear aspirations.

Glory be to those who uphold the truth!

MADE MAKER

WHAT THE PENTAGON SAYS SOUNDS LAUGHABLE

Zo Fu

USA is hoarding Arab countries to protect Israel.
Well – good luck with that.

Jens Holm

I dont think they are hoarding. You might forget the dark Persia went to a terrible Shah State, which collpased and was replaced by Ayatollahs.

So its a matter of balance. And You forget the conflict between Arabs and Persians more is a take over from ancient time.

Many ,maps and wars shows that well, where You can add Assyrians long time ago.

Oscar Silva Martinez

The Undemocratic Western Republic of Yankeestan blaming others of turning places into terrorist paradises, those cowards still have the nerves!!!

Jens Holm

Idlibs are kind of leftovers and made very high populated by green busses as well.

Rob

US and their allies have created chaos in entire world and then says RUSSIA, ASSAD TURNED IDLIB INTO TERRORIST STRONGHOLD. Everyday they leave new balloons of comments in the air.

Jens Holm

Facts are, You are out of the whole world, becaue You insist.

You really dont understand what world economy is at all. The world economy is not even based on gold and integrated.

Draden

DARVO refers to a reaction that perpetrators of wrong doing may display in response to being held accountable for their behavior. The perpetrator or offender may Deny the behavior, Attack the individual doing the confronting, and Reverse the roles of Victim and Offender such that the perpetrator assumes the victim role and turns the true victim into an alleged offender. This occurs, for instance, when an actually guilty perpetrator assumes the role of “falsely accused” and attacks the accuser’s credibility or even blames the accuser of being the perpetrator of a false accusation.

This is exactly what the US is doing in Syria.

Jens Holm

Well, the opposite is exact like that as well.

You have Jews/Zionists running the world. Westerns descried only from the worst part of us and all Kurds are terrorists PKK.

You dont see and understand our economy and are not even able to integrate in that, as well as the Indian, The Chinese or The Russian part of it.

USA didnt invent Islam as well as Your culture. We have our own violent persons and groups here fx by fascisme and version of that. So why should we have Yours too.

How comes so many muslims prefare to do almost anything to come here and live among sekulars and christians.

THATS BECAUSE NOT EVEN CLEAN YOUR OWN COUNTRIES FIRST.

Thats have the antigon is.

Draden

I think you’re talking to the wrong person, besides being off-topic.

Jens Holm

sorry

Willing Conscience (The Truths

The US/Israel and coalition forces almost turned the entire nation of Syria into a hotbed of terrorist activity, but Assad can’t do the same to one of his countries governates, what a double standard.
Assad’s had very good reasons to do what he’s done, his intentions were to minimize the amount of damage the terrorists could do in his country, but the coalition’s motives aren’t as noble, they’re intent on the rebels making as much trouble as they possibly can.
For those of you too young to remember, Iran was an enlightened and wealthy democracy when I was a young man, with equal rights for women and free medical care and education, and it wasn’t really that much different to most other progressive nations around the world. That is before the US toppled the legitimately elected government and reinstalled their own puppet, who the people had previously thrown out for his corrupt and cruel practices.
Iran was much like Jordan back then, it had a king [Sha] that ruled the country, with an elected puppet government subservient to him, but it was the US government that really controlled the whole country. Eventually the common people rebelled against the Sha, overthrowing his tyrannical puppet government and installing their own, that is until the US/Israel helped the king get back into power, and overthrew their democratically elected government, returning the whole country to the same oppressive system they had before. That’s when the Islamic fundamentalist finally got a foot in the door, they were the main driving force that finally got rid of the US backed Sha and regained control of their own country, and despite everything the US/Israel has done since then to try and remove them, they’re still there and doing exactly what the US/Israel doesn’t want them to.
The Iranians now try their hardest to export their rebellion against US/Israel to other oppressed Muslim nations, both Shia and Sunni, in an effort to help free them from the shackles of US/Israeli self interests. The US/Israeli self interests that drain their countries of wealth inspiration and purpose, and also allows for the continued suffering of the people, oppressed under tyrannical puppet leaders that the self serving US/Israelis actually control and direct.
That’s actually a noble cause in my eyes, Gods speed to the Iranians, I wish their rebellion would spread to some of our western nations as well.

Loung Kodak

Looks like the west don’t know what they can do with monsters they created, so they accusing loyalists!

Richard M

Typical FUKUS propaganda. Accuse your opponent of doing what you ARE doing.

Jens Holm

Well, more like rhetorics.

Icarus Tanović

Speaking of the devil, maybe Iran indeed have a-bomb. And they (Mossad, etc.)don’t know it!

Richard M

It would make sense. Announcing you have one bomb is an invitation for attack. Announcing you have 100 bombs will turn your enemy’s guts to water!

gustavo

USA-Israel-NATO have lost any credibility at all after “WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION” used to destroy Irak. Eve, if one wants to believe Bibi, how about the nuclear weapons that Israel has ? How many ? what kind ? For the benefit of human being, countries must stop acting as Israel vassals, with respect nuclear weapons and Tririum, U235, adn Plutonium production.

horst

The “Hornet nest” comment is absolutely true. However I guess the goal was to essentially consolidate the front line. Push them all into this area to fight them in this area. Unfortunately this scenario has been blocked. There was a successful sweep together, but the sweep up is blocked! So you end up with a pile of dirt you are not allowed to touch.

takis

US logic. “It’s Assad’s fault he fights the terrorists we train, support, arm to destroy his country”

Icarus Tanović

Hahahahaha! What an aliance! Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain… I just cannot stop laughing ?!
