The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have liberated the village of Mustarihah from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the northeastern Hama countryside.

Thus, the SAA and the NDF started a military operation to re-take the important village of al-Rahijan from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. If this village is liberated, government troops will be able to threaten the northeastern flank of ISIS terrorists operating in the area and to retake it from the terrorists.

Earlier this month, ISIS cells captured a number of villages from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and expanded significantly in this part of the “opposition-held area.”
