The Syrian army’s Tiger Forces, backed up by the Russian Aerospace Forces, have liberated the village of Rasm al-Hermel al-Khabaz further isolating the ISIS stronghold of Deir Hafer in the Syrian province of Aleppo.
Earlier this week, the Tiger Fores retook al-Mazbour, Tabaret Madi and Rasm Harmel al-Imam from ISIS terrorists in the same area.
Considering there’s plenty of IS territory left to most sides of that city the SAA still has a long way to go before Deir Hafer will be isolated.
It might be worth it to link up with the Kurdish forces in Manbij though. Not only would it cut off ISIS forces in Al Bab, it would put an end to any Turkish dreams to go on to Raqqa and it would create a whole new ballgame. The Kurds would become less dependent on US military assistance only and it would give the Syrian governments more influence in that area as well. Plus this could potentially allow the Tiger forces to strike towards Deir Ezzor from Kurdish territory.
Assad and YPG are allied “de facto” but they must seems to others to aren’t. Expecially to Iran.
Cooperation is hard
