The Syrian military has deployed a number of Pantsir-S short to medium range air defense systems to the Kuweires Military Airbase near the Syrian city of Aleppo, according to reports.
The aim of this move is to defend the government forces in Aleppo from the Turkish Air Force that has been supporting the pro-Ankara militant groups’ advance on the ISIS-controlled town of al-Bab in the province of Aleppo.
The recently appeared photo from the Kuweires Military Airbase confirms that at least one Pantsir-S system has been deployed in the area.
Recently, up to 1,000 Syrian army soldiers arrived the Kuweires Military Airbase to reinforce the government forces invoved in military operations in Aleppo city. Pro-government sources argue that Syrian soldiers have been continuing to arrive to the area.

I don’t think that the FSA, who are fighting with the Turks, are simply
going to stop at the border region. It makes no sense to me that they
should just do the Turks bidding and then go home. With or without
Turkish support (probably with) I think they intend further trouble
for the SAA.
Obviously the Sultan and Putin discussed Turkey’s invasion on August 8 and in subsequent conversations. The Turks are probably close to invading the Russian comfort zone. Any moves south of the al Bab-Manbij line or West of al Bab will risk bombardment by the Syrians and Russians.
It is not that easy. The ISIS will kill at least a thousand to two thousand of them minimum with them before they can take over albab. The ISIS fight until death and we know this which also means they will take with them at least a thousand to two thousand of them and by that time they will be too broke and also only in albab it will cost the pro turkish soldier at least 2000 dead other regions will be even more that is why it is not that easy task…
Sun Tzu said do not disrupt your enemies from destroying each other.
Obviously the Turks don’t need 90 M60’s to kick Daesh out of al Bab. They must intend to cross Putin’s red line which is most logically the M4 between al Bab and Manbij or any push west of al Bab. Should get interesting, especially if the Turks plan on air cover for any operations into the Syrian and Russian comfort zone.
