Syrian Military Deploying More Troops, Techincals Equipped With Machine Guns For Advance In Syrian Desert (Photos)

A pro-government media activist, Ivan Sidorenko, has released photos showing troops and technicals equipped with machine guns en route to the desert east of the Syrian capital of Damascus.

The Syrian military is deploying reinforcements near the al-Seen Military Airbase ahead of that what many describe as a preparation move for a large advance aimed at reaching the Syrian-Iraqi border and taking control over the al-Tanaf border crossing.

Both the Syrian-Iranian-Russian coalition and the US-led block with their proxies on the ground in the war-torn country see the Syrian-Iraqi border as an important area where they should increase their influence. The control over the border will also allow to set a foothold for taking control over the city of Deir Ezzor and oil fields in its countryside.

The Syrians will have to be quick.
The Americans and their Saudi mercenaries are massing around al-Tanf.

I think that boarder crossing is between Iraq and Syria, at the extreme Western end of Iraq. Keep in mind that the Iraqi army has recently taken over their side of that boarder crossing. Iraqi Shiite militias are there too. They are waiting for “permission” from Syria to cross the boarder and help out the SSA to open the highway.

The rebels there in the desert will be easily defeated.

Once they make connection with SSA there will be an open highway between Damascus and Baghdad (and further east to Tehran). There will then be no need to fly stuff from Iran to Syria. Israel and their neocon US backers will be screwed, with no way to stop this direct link, other than to attack Syria directly, and show their hand, which they cannot do.

This is a very smart move being made by Syria, and it will check mate the US.

US special forces have an expanding base on Jordanian border, they have lot of military vehicles massed there and have been flying helicopters in and out of Dier Ezzore province for months. US forces are using Jordan to get more openly active in south-east Syrian territory. They may try some sort of offensive in conjunction with militants from there.
US goal is to link up Jordanian based militants in south-east with SDF in north-east – an entire eastern Syrian, south-north axis, corridor, occupied by US sponsored factions, meaning basis for partition. Which is directly counter to SAA goal, as you point out above, of moving from west to central-east and outward to Iraqi border. Strategically, the overall Syrian war is moving to the central east. If SAA is able to move eastward successfully, expect disruptions and more accidents from USAF – they are bad losers.

As an american, I am really hoping the US loses this war and that syria/Russia/Iran wins lol

When the SAA “technicals “, as pictured in the photos above, head down into that desert area on their way to that al-Tanf boarder crossing with Iraq, a distance of just 100 miles, they will be backed up by both Syrian and Russian ground attack helicopters.
The rebels, who do not have complete control, will be sitting ducks in this open area, unless the US comes in with attack helicopters to protect them. And, they will not do that unless they want to start WW3. This is after all Syrian territory!

What you said about eastern Syria is correct. But, this Israel/Neocon “plan B” to create a Sunni state to replace ISIS is going down in flames. They simply did not think this through very well. I think they need to tune into this web site, to find out how to play the game of war.

And furthermore, if the US supply’s the rebels with “manpad” sholder held surface to air rockets, which is a real possibility, the Russians will do the same for the Taliban in Afghanistan. I can imagine Putin telling Trump next year, “too bad about that quagmire you got yourself into in Afghanistan”.

Bob

If look at map and territory ISIS occupy – it’s remarkable how it correlates to the territory US needs to implement their Plan B!

I think that that is well known by High command of SAA. Let do the RG of the 4th div. and other parties their job. SAA and Hezb will come over Palmyra and the Tigers and other parties over Alleppo countryside. Suheil will meet Issam.

Let us hope that the Saudi Mercenaries are as useless as they are in the Yemen.

The Russian Father of All Bombs dropped on the terrorist nest in Al-Tanaf would be interesting to see. . .

Given that ALL fighters there are Unlawful Combatants. You know. GITMO type people.
